As you settle in your seat,
Allow your muscles to settle,
Your mind to relax,
And your mood to be easy.
Imagine beauty.
Will there be a reflection of you in the mirror,
A star-filled sky,
A colorful word,
A vibrant field of flowers?
Imagine something beautiful.
As you hold that thought in your mind,
Breathe,
Into your nose and out of your mouth,
Breathe.
With that something beautiful in your mind,
Observe it.
What is it about that thing that made you consider it?
Was it the color?
Was it the vibrancy?
Was it the simplicity?
Or maybe it was the complexity?
Was it the source that created it?
Or the things it's overcome?
Was it how it fits in,
Or stands out?
Was it because of a standard,
Or not?
Admire the beauty of it for a minute more.
As you prepare to end this meditation,
Remember to find beauty throughout your day,
Inside you and all around.
Let beauty slow you down enough to find your breath and breathe.
