This visualization is inspired by one that was guided for me a couple of years ago by a good friend.

I remember it was simple,

But quite effective.

I felt quite good afterwards,

And I'm happy to be sharing my own version of that here.

So if you haven't already,

Please find a comfortable position and close your eyes.

We're going to relax ourselves using the breath and counting from 5 to 1.

And when we get to 1,

I'd like you to try and be as relaxed as possible.

So during the counting,

Gradually relax yourself.

On each out breath,

We'll count.

So let's take a breath in and out.

5.

In and out.

4.

In and out.

3.

Becoming more relaxed.

Another breath in.

And out.

2.

One more breath.

And out.

1.

Feeling more relaxed.

And now to start the visualization,

I'd like you to bring to mind a favorite place of yours,

A place that you feel relaxed,

That you feel comfortable in,

That you feel safe.

This could be a place that you know very well.

It could be a place that you visited once or twice in your life.

Or maybe you might make one up right now.

Something that feels cozy,

Something that feels good to you.

And now bring your awareness to how it feels to be there right now.

What is the air like?

How does the ground feel beneath you?

And now bring your awareness to what you see.

What do you see out in front of you?

What do you see around you?

Look all around.

And then what do you hear?

What sort of things are happening around you and what noises are they making?

And now what do you smell?

And do you taste anything?

And now I'd like you to invite,

To bring in someone,

Someone special to you,

To this place with you.

Someone that you also feel comfortable with,

That you feel safe with,

That you can be relaxed with.

Bring them in to enjoy this place with you.

This special person,

They love you.

They care for you.

They want you to be happy.

Notice how it feels to have them in your presence.

And now go ahead and fully immerse yourself into this experience.

Allow your awareness to drift from one thing to another.

And enjoy this time in your favorite place with this special person.

.

.

.

.

Wonderful.

Let's now begin to bring ourselves back into the present moment,

Into the space around us.

So say goodbye to the place.

Say goodbye to the person.

Knowing that you can return to this place whenever you can,

With or without that person,

Maybe with more people,

But that is always available to you.

So,

Begin to feel the weight of your body where you're sitting.

Feel the air around you.

Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,

Coming back.

And slowly open your eyes in three,

Two,

One.

Welcome back.

I hope you enjoyed that short visualization.

I hope that you felt happiness,

That you felt love in that special place with that special person.

And again,

You can return to that place,

You can return with that person or other people,

Many people,

Anytime that you want.

Okay,

That about does it.

Thank you so much for meditating with me.

Have a wonderful rest of your day.

Namaste.

Thank you for this meditation and visualization. I envisioned my mom with me. I felt so warm and loved in her presence. She passed 4 years ago and I deeply miss her. I will do this meditation often. Thank you.
