Good morning and welcome to this morning meditation.
Before we settle in,
Invite some small movements in to help shake off sleep.
Moving the head and neck.
Then your torso.
Your arms and hands.
Maybe having a nice stretch.
Shaking the hands out.
And then bringing it down to your legs,
Even if you've already sat down.
Invite some small movement in.
And then down to your feet and toes.
Great.
And now let's settle in.
Finding a comfortable position if you haven't already.
And closing the eyes.
And now begin to feel what it's like to be in the space that you're in this morning.
What does the air feel like?
The ground beneath you.
Noticing the light that's on your eyelids.
Any sounds that you hear inside and out.
And now begin to have gratitude for yourself,
For being here and starting your day off in a positive way.
That will benefit both you and all that you encounter today.
It is so wonderful that you are here.
And now begin to think about the day ahead.
And set an intention for yourself.
What do you want to do?
Who do you want to be today?
What do you want to do?
Who do you want to be today?
Placing both hands over your heart.
Repeat your intention to yourself.
And have complete faith that you can achieve this today.
Lastly,
I'd like you to think about something good that you could do today beyond yourself.
Maybe for a friend,
A family member,
Neighbor,
Your community,
An animal,
Maybe the planet.
What good can you do today?
Awesome.
Let's begin to close this meditation so you could go on with the rest of your day.
So beginning to move again,
Wiggling the fingers,
The toes,
Swaying side to side.
Gently opening your eyes when you're ready.
