Hello,
My name is Brenda Carey and this practice is designed to help you unwind from a busy day.
You will need a journal or piece of paper and a pen.
And for now just set those things aside and we will begin with some breath work.
So find a comfortable seat or feel free to lie down.
Close the eyes down if it is comfortable or a soft gaze.
Begin by placing one or both hands on your low belly.
I would like for you to begin to deepen your breath and as you inhale feel the belly rise,
Fill up like a balloon.
And as you exhale as it softly deflates and continue to slow down your breath.
Inhaling to fill up the belly and exhaling either out the nose or the mouth.
You could even sigh deeply if needed.
And continue slowing down the breath even a bit more and possibly make your exhales a bit longer than the inhales.
With every elongated breath creating your sacred space to unwind from your day whatever it has brought you.
Letting go of a little bit more physical tension in the body and letting go of some mental tension in the mind creating some space between you and the thoughts that float by.
And bring one hand up to your heart to connect into this space of self-love and compassion.
And allow this gesture to be an invitation to come into a space of receivership.
To be able to receive all the love and light that this day has brought.
Drawing in one more deep inhale and a final exhale.
And then gather your journal and pen.
And as you do a quick review of your day I would like for you to write down three things or people from this day that you are grateful for.
And overthink it just the first three things or people or even places that come to mind and write them down.
Continuing to breathe full and deep as you complete your list.
And then I would like for you to review each one individually.
And as you do you can visualize or you can simply say thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you and receive this gift.
Going through each item on your list and acknowledging and receiving this gift from today.
And then moving on once again taking your journal with pen and now writing down three things or people that you will be grateful for tomorrow.
If you'd like you can think about your day ahead and without overthinking it jot down three things,
People or even places that you will be grateful for tomorrow.
And then once again review each one of those items on your list maybe visualize them.
Allow the gratitude to well up and fill your whole body and mind anticipating a day tomorrow with love,
Compassion and grace.
Once you have gone through your list,
Sit down your journal and pen.
Come into your meditation posture whether seated or lying down.
Coming back to that deeper breathing.
Feeling the gratitude,
Allowing the items in your journal to be a reminder of the goodness in your day and the blessings that you can expect tomorrow.
Final deep breath.
Exhaling releasing any desired outcomes or expectations knowing that spirit universe will take care of it all for you in the right time with the right people at the perfect place.
Fully trusting and knowing that your gratitude that will come tomorrow will be just what you need.
Drawing in a deep,
Deep breath,
The biggest one yet,
A final exhale.
Staying in this place,
This sacred place of gratitude and love as you unwind from your day.
Every beginning has its own center in the action of contact,
Validation,
Confessing you
