Blessings.
This is Brenda Cary.
The intention of this meditation is to gently shift out of striving and into a deep state of listening,
A return to the quiet,
Steady wisdom already within you.
You don't need to figure anything out right now.
Simply allow yourself to arrive.
Find a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
And if it feels safe for you,
Gently close your eyes or a soft gaze.
Begin by noticing your breath just as it is.
No need to change it.
Feel the weight of your body supported by the earth beneath you.
There's nothing to hold,
Nothing to carry.
Now gently bring one hand to your heart space.
And begin to breathe as if your breath is moving in and out through your heart.
Inhale to soften.
Exhale release.
Again,
Inhale to soften.
Exhale releasing.
Beneath the surface of your thoughts,
There is a quieter rhythm,
A deeper knowing.
You may notice sensations,
Subtle feelings,
Or simply a sense of presence.
There is nothing you need to force,
Nothing that needs to be fixed.
Just listening.
What within you is asking to be heard right now?
Imagine your breath like a gentle river current moving through your body,
Like water finding its natural path,
Flowing,
Adjusting,
And softening around what once felt rigid.
No need to push this current.
The flow already knows where to go.
And just like the changing seasons,
Something within you is quietly shifting,
Quietly preparing,
Quietly becoming.
As you settle into this current,
Notice any place in your body that may be holding tension or effort.
Gently soften there.
You don't have to do more to be enough.
You don't have to strive to find your unique way.
There is an inner wisdom within you that already knows.
Rest here for a few breaths,
Allowing the sense of quiet flow to settle into your body,
Trusting that whatever is unfolding within you is happening in its own perfect timing.
When you feel complete,
Begin to gently deepen your breath,
Slowly returning to your surroundings.
And as you move back into your day,
See if you can carry this softness,
This flow with you,
Allowing life to move at its own natural rhythm rather than forcing it forward.
And so it is.
