Let's set up for sitting.
Today we will be OMing.
I guess it's keeping it simple,
But in a way.
Experiencing the effects of the mantra without getting moved away from it by the mind can also be a challenge.
But the practice itself is simple.
We're going to chant OM out loud.
You can do that loudly or softly to yourself.
And then we'll be sitting quietly repeating the mantra to ourself.
When we repeat it quietly to self,
Endeavor to have the same sort of vibration moving throughout your body.
And if anytime you lose that,
You can go back to the external chanting.
We'll begin there today.
So find your seat.
Find a lengthened spine in a way that allows you to take a few deeper belly expanding diaphragmatic breaths.
And we'll begin chanting OM and you can sort of roll your own.
So I will chant for a few minutes and you can either chant right with me or just let your own come in its own time.
OM.
Nice deep breath in.
And a long slow breath out.
And another breath just like that.
Deep breath in.
And a long slow breath out.
Let's bring our palms together in front of our hearts.
Now into your own heart.
Namaste.
