Once you find yourself in a comfortable seat,
Bring yourself into your body and imagine it's called the Shashumna,
Which is the central channel of your body.
You could at first just feel your torso,
Bring your mind's eye to the interior of your body.
You might notice a few breaths moving in and out that might help you bring that awareness in.
Then we do a little art project where we draw a line between our pelvic floor and the crown of our head.
You could visualize that as a column of light.
Light could be white or gold,
Whatever your mind likes more.
Then as you breathe in,
Follow the breath in and imagine that it's feeding that column and moving all the way down to the base of your body,
To your pelvic floor.
As you breathe out,
Imagine that that exhale is going all the way up that column,
All the way to the crown of your head.
We'll use the breath to entrain our mind to the central channel.
As you breathe in,
Go down.
As you breathe out,
Go up.
Try to have a playful,
Relaxed attitude towards this game we're playing of just moving down and up the center of our body.
There's no right or wrong way to do it.
It's impossible to fail.
There's areas that seem hard to trace through or elude us a little more,
That's fine.
We just gently move through those areas and move to the next area as we breathe down and up the central channel.
Then we can keep moving down and up in this way,
Or we could let the breath go and simply let our mind scan up and down that central channel,
See what parts it's most interested in and what parts it's least interested in.
Nice relaxed inner awareness.
There we go.
