Explore MeditationEmery has been teaching yoga for over 15 years and has trained more than 100 yoga instructors. She is certified in numerous styles of yoga including VariYoga, Ashtanga, Core Strength Vinyasa, and Power Yoga for Sports. Emery has a diverse education and experience background not only in yoga, but also, in science, exercise, and wellness. Long before she ever took her first yoga class, Emery had a deep interest in the anatomy and physiology of the human body and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. In the years following she worked in the fitness industry teaching yoga and other forms of exercise. She attained certifications in Yoga, Pilates, Personal Training, TRX, and Silver Sneakers. She rounded out her education with a master’s degree in Health Promotion and Wellness Management and is a certified Physical Activity in Public Health Specialist. Emery is a full-time faculty member at Missouri State University where she teaches Exercise Physiology, Health, and yoga.
