For more than five decades, Andrew Seaton has delved deeply into educational philosophy, psychology and methodology; old wisdom and new science; reports of higher consciousness; and a wide range of personal development, holistic wellness and spiritual awareness practices. His 2005 PhD thesis was titled, ‘Investing in Intelligence: An Inquiry into Educational Paradigm Change’. In 2006, Andrew resigned from a two-year stint in academia to live on a hobby farm, to step back from mind-based mainstream society and focus on unlearning his education and other conditioning. In the following years, he experienced major changes in his consciousness and way of being in the world. He is the author of “Spiritual Awakening Made Simple: How to See Through the Mist of the Mind to the Peace of the Here and Now” (John Hunt Publishing, 2020), and of “Education for Spiritually Conscious Living: How Parents Can Give Children the Education They Really Need (and Why Schooling Can’t)” (Inspiring Stuff, 2025). Andrew is an INFJ, an HSP, an intuitive, an empath, a lover of deep one-on-one conversations, and a lover of solitude. But he feels that labels and concepts can no longer contain him. He feels, with Ralph Waldo Emerson, that “I am God in nature; I am a weed by the wall”. He enjoys gardening, DIY, writing, walks in a forest or on the beach, singing, dancing to Creedence’s “Jambalaya”, and sitting in the stillness of Being. He resides on the South Coast of NSW, Australia.
