Just letting your breath support you in relaxing,
In getting comfortable,
In setting aside whatever you were doing.
Just to allow yourself to be right here,
To tend to yourself.
And perhaps as you listen to the sound of my voice,
It can be a signal.
A signal for everything to relax,
Release,
And let go.
Relax,
Release,
And let go.
And you might imagine the feeling of the muscles and the flesh,
All the tissues as they hang off the bones.
Just breathing and letting go.
That's right.
Because this is a time that you are carving out to turn toward your heart.
So I invite you to take a breath and imagine or feel or sense what it's like to breathe through your heart.
Just take your breath in and releasing it through the heart.
If you have a strong visual sense,
You might want to imagine some light,
Some beautiful light flowing in and out through your heart.
Just relaxing on the inside,
Nourishing as you exhale.
And it can feel so good to breathe this light in and out,
In and out.
And if you're a more kinesthetically oriented person,
Maybe it's a feeling,
A feeling of opening or softening.
Perhaps a feeling of expansion in your heart.
And if it helps,
You're welcome to rest one or both of your hands on your heart,
Because perhaps you can feel the warmth of your palm resting on the heart.
Just feel how you're making contact with the space of your heart,
The space of your heart where love resides,
Where peace resides.
Generosity,
Kindness,
Compassion,
Just feeling and sensing how these qualities are alive in you.
And with every breath,
You are awakening these qualities,
These attributes.
And I'd like you to imagine a moment in your future where you're walking around and breathing through your heart,
Sensing your heart.
And then you encounter someone,
A friend,
An acquaintance,
Or perhaps it's simply someone who works in a shop.
And just as an experiment,
Perhaps you can sense how you are beaming the energy of your heart,
Beaming it toward their heart as you converse,
As you share in a transaction.
So that what had previously been more of a simple,
Impersonal interaction may become an authentic moment of connection.
Very simple,
Nothing fancy,
Just the heart meeting itself,
The heart meeting itself.
And perhaps you're smiling,
And perhaps they are smiling back where you share a moment of laughter.
It can be very simple,
Just noticing what that's like to move through your world with an open heart,
Where the heart leads you,
Where you are intentionally having heart-to-heart connections with the people you're close to and with the people that are simply a part of your world,
Not in your inner circle or your family.
Maybe it's your coworkers.
It could be anyone,
Because in this moment of authentic meeting,
The heart meeting itself,
You have walked through the door of sacredness,
Sharing a sacred moment,
Ordinary and sacred all at once.
So just taking a breath in and out of the heart.
Yes,
Just feeling what is occurring in the space of your heart right now.
It feels so good.
One more little experiment.
Perhaps you're moving through your life and you encounter someone who you might find a bit challenging,
Someone with whom you share triggers.
And instead of engaging in the old way,
Just take a moment to breathe in and out through your heart,
In and out through your heart.
And then allow the interaction to occur from your heart to theirs.
And it doesn't matter if they are doing this practice or not.
You are leading with your heart,
Leading with kindness,
Compassion,
Generosity,
Loving,
Loving presence.
Just take a moment to sense,
To imagine this moment and how potentially different it can be.
How different it can be.
Yes,
That's right.
How different from past experiences.
Yes,
You're doing really well.
Just feeling,
Breathing,
Letting everything that's been said and heard sink in a little bit more deeply.
Everything sinks in,
Everything lets go.
And you can trust that each time you listen to this guided meditation,
Your experience of breathing through the heart,
Relating through the heart,
You go deeper.
It will become a part of who you are.
Because each time you listen to this process,
You're opening up new neural pathways,
You're changing your brain,
You're influencing your body,
You're creating health and happiness,
Harmony in your life.
