Allow your eyes to comfortably close.
As you do so,
Breathe out down the full length of your body,
Through your open mouth if you like,
Allowing your body to soften and release what it's brought with it here and no longer needs to carry.
Take your awareness to where the weight of your body rests on the surface directly beneath you.
Give more of your body's weight to its support.
Notice the support is steady.
Sit back onto the steadiness.
Allow the whole of you to sit back.
Notice the steadiness is there for you now.
Breathe down to the steadiness.
Breathe up from the steadiness.
Let it steady you.
Allow your shoulders and arms to soften.
Allow your eyes to soften and sit back to rest in your head.
Allow your mind to do the same.
Let your mind soften and sit back to rest in your head.
And breathe out from your mind.
Allow your mind to release what it's been holding and no longer needs to carry.
Let it flow out and away.
In your own time,
Become aware of the play of light and shade through your closed eyelids and the ebb and flow of your breath,
Allowing your breath to begin to slow and lengthen.
Notice the sensation as air enters and leaves your nostrils.
The movements your body makes as you breathe.
Notice the expansion of the in-breath and inner stretch.
Notice the release of the out-breath,
A letting go.
Notice your breathing in from the space around you and out into it.
Sit back some more onto the steadiness directly beneath your body.
And soften the way you are engaging with this moment.
If a part of you is wanting things to be a certain way,
Breathe out wanting things to be a certain way.
Allow everything to be as it is.
Step down from the watchtower of your mind and rest on the steadiness there for you now.
Your breath ebbing and flowing.
Each out-breath allowing your body to soften and release.
Let yourself know that it's completely okay to be exactly as you are right now.
As you sit back,
Know that everything is in process and everything is as it should be.
Like the seasons and cycles of nature,
Change is the natural way of all things.
As day follows night,
Winter becomes spring,
And spring turns to summer.
So assimilation,
Healing,
And renewal are part of the natural flow of life.
Trust in this process.
What may not be clear right now,
In the fullness of time will become clear.
What may not be understood right now,
In time will be perfectly understood.
Challenges will transform into new learnings,
New beginnings,
No experience wasted.
Know that all the resources you need are there within you already.
A wealth of wisdom has been gathering deep inside you since the day you were born.
Your inner resources will be there with you,
There for you,
Every step of the way over the coming hours,
Days,
Weeks,
And months.
And these precious resources will grow stronger and more powerful over time.
Trust in the process.
Trust in your own growth,
Renewal,
And healing.
Trust in the flow of your life.
As you say the affirmations,
All is unfolding exactly as it should.
All is well.
All shall be well.
And all manner of things shall be well.
