Allow your eyes to comfortably close.

And breathe out.

Down the full length of your body.

Allowing your body to soften and release what it's brought with it here and no longer needs to carry.

Take your awareness down to where the weight of your body rests.

Notice the surface is steady.

And give more of your weight to the steadiness.

Become aware of the weight of your head on the pillow.

Notice the support is comfortable.

And say the words,

I am safe.

I am supported.

I can rest now.

Come down into your body's weight and volume.

Notice the air-bent flow of your breath.

And the sensation as air enters and leaves.

Letting the breath slow down in its own time.

Slowing the body down.

Slowing the mind down.

As you do so,

Allow yourself to imagine the space around you is safe,

Supportive and comforting.

You can bring to mind your favourite safe place if you like.

Or imagine one around you now,

Like a nest.

Let it hold you.

And say the words,

I am safe.

I let go of stress.

I am supported.

I am safe.

Allowing your body to move into sleep by itself.

The weight of your body supported.

Becoming heavier and softer with each out-breath.

Your body knows how to sleep.

Your safe,

Special place around you.

As you say the word,

I am safe.

I am comfortable.

I am supported.

I can relax now.

I am safe.

Allowing your mind to move into sleep by itself.

The weight of your head supported.

Your mind sitting back.

Becoming heavier and softer with each out-breath.

Your mind knows exactly how to sleep.

All is safe and comfortable.

And say the word,

I am safe.

I am held.

I can sleep now.

I am at peace.

I am safe.

Allowing your neck and shoulders to soften.

Moving into deeper sleep.

As you say the word,

I am safe.

I am supported.

I can let go into sleep now.

I am safe.

Allowing your arms and hands to soften.

Moving into deeper sleep.

As you say the word,

I am safe.

I am comfortable.

I am loved.

I can rest now.

Allowing your upper and lower back to soften.

Moving into deeper sleep.

As you say the word,

I am safe.

I am held.

I can let go of everything.

I can be myself.

I am safe.

Everything softening and letting go.

In your safe comforting space.

Allowing your chest and belly to let go of their own accord.

Your safe space around you.

Allowing your buttocks,

Legs and feet to soften.

Moving into deeper sleep.

Safe and comfortable.

Allowing every level of your being to let go now into even deeper resting.

Deeper peaceful sleeping now.

As you say the word,

I am safe.

I am loved.

I am supported.

I can sleep now.

I am safe.

Allowing every level of your being to let go now into even deeper resting.
