Welcome to the calming countdown meditation.
Take a few moments to find a comfortable position.
Once you're there,
I invite you to close your eyes as we begin to nurture the breath.
Inhale through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth.
Inhale through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth.
Inhale through the nose.
And exhale through the mouth.
Return to a natural breathing pattern as we begin our calming countdown.
Five.
No amount of regret can change the past.
No amount of worry can change the future.
But any amount of gratitude can change the present.
Four.
To live in the present moment is a miracle.
The miracle is not to walk on water.
The miracle is to walk on the green earth in the present moment.
To appreciate the peace and beauty that are available now.
Three.
Now and then,
It's good to pause in the pursuit of happiness and just be happy.
Two.
There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done.
One is called yesterday,
And the other is called tomorrow.
Today is the right day to love,
Believe,
Do,
And mostly live.
One.
If you must look back,
Do so forgivingly.
If you must look forward,
Do so prayerfully.
However the wisest thing you can do is to be present in the present gratefully.
Inhale through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth.
Gently open your eyes.
Take a nice full body stretch and return to your day feeling calm,
Centered,
And peaceful.
