Meditation for healing the inner child.
This meditation can help you heal,
Clear and release negative thoughts,
Negative patterns and habits,
Negative beliefs about yourself or about your relationships and life and anything that is not serving you in your life right now.
Find a comfortable place,
Even sitting or laying down and close your eyes.
If you need to adjust your clothing,
Your position,
Take a few moments to do that.
Finding a deeper and deeper place of comfort,
Of relaxation.
Now begin to focus on your breath.
Inhaling and exhaling gently.
Noticing if your breath is smooth or if you're holding this tension and intending to relax more.
As you allow your breath to relax,
Notice how tension in your body,
Tension in your mind and in your emotion begins to dissolve.
Slowly lengthening your breath,
Deepening it.
Going deeper and deeper into serenity,
Calm,
Inner peace.
Now begin to visualize your breath in any color that you wish,
Inhaling beautiful light,
White light or any color that you choose,
Through your nostril,
Into your throat,
Into your lungs and as you exhale imagine that this light is moving through each and every cell of your body.
Sending a wave of relaxation into each and every cell.
Relaxing deeper and deeper with the breath,
With the light.
Noticing if any thought comes up and you're not fighting the thoughts,
You're not fighting any discomfort,
Any emotion,
You're simply noticing and breathing into it.
As you continue to dissolve your thoughts,
Your emotions,
Through the breath,
Through the light.
Notice if there's any place in your body where you are holding tension,
Whether it's in your abdomen,
Maybe the solar plexus,
Maybe your heart center,
Maybe your throat.
Just noticing where tension is in the body.
Maybe the shoulders are tight,
Maybe your back feels strained,
Maybe your neck is stiff.
Just noticing those areas where you feel tension and intending to breathe through those areas of your body to bring the breath,
To bring the light in those spaces.
Taking you deeper and deeper into relaxation as you focus on those areas that were holding tension before.
As you continue this process of relaxing your body and relaxing your mind through your intention,
Through visualization,
Breath,
Allow yourself to bring up a painful memory,
Maybe something challenging that keeps coming up in your life,
In your relationships,
Or maybe with your health,
Or maybe with your career or abundance,
Whatever it might be,
While remaining relaxed.
And allow yourself to feel where you feel that the most,
What it brings up in your body as you focus on this situation that is not yet resolved.
Bringing up the emotions,
Whether it's frustration,
Anger,
Feelings of disempowerment or sadness.
Allowing the thoughts,
The memories associated with this situation to come up as you continue to breathe,
As you continue to bring in light.
And identifying specifically where you feel tension,
Where you feel discomfort in the body.
Now that you've identified where you're holding those thoughts,
Those painful memories,
Those emotions in place where they're stored in the body,
Bring your hands to that space.
With the intention of sending energy,
Of holding that part of yourself as if it was a child.
Holding your abdomen or placing your hands close to your heart,
Or holding yourself completely,
Wrapping your arms around yourself as if you were holding a child.
Holding yourself in your arms,
Holding your inner child.
And this holding of your inner child is very gentle.
You can feel the love,
The love that you are giving your inner child.
Maybe you have images,
Thoughts,
Memories of childhood,
Situations that were difficult,
That are similar to the ones that you have experienced.
Or a situation that was difficult that is similar to the one that you're struggling with right now.
Just allow for these images to come up and continue to hold your inner child.
To send love,
To send healing energy through your hands,
To hold yourself,
To mother yourself and your inner child.
As the memories come up,
You're not holding on to them,
You're not rejecting them,
You're just allowing them to come to the surface while holding yourself,
While breathing,
While bringing light into the areas of tension in your physical body.
And mentally,
Or out loud if you are in your own space and you feel comfortable doing so,
You can speak words of encouragement to your inner child.
Words like,
You're okay,
I'm here,
Just breathe.
I'll hold you until you feel safe.
I won't let you go.
I'll hold your hand in mine until you feel completely calm,
Completely safe.
It's okay,
You can let go.
You're safe,
I'm here.
I'm here with you,
I've always been here.
You're never alone.
Whatever the dialogue is,
Whatever the words,
It doesn't matter.
Words of encouragement,
Words of love,
Words that help your inner child feel safe in situations that have not felt safe before.
Breathing,
Visualizing the beautiful light moving into those places of discomfort,
Clearing,
Healing,
Releasing any painful memories.
Replacing negative self-talk or disempowering words with words of encouragement and love.
Holding yourself where you haven't been held,
Supporting yourself where you haven't felt supported.
Holding this space of deep love,
Safety.
You can continue with this process for as long as you'd like until you feel a sense of ease,
A sense of calm,
Of serenity.
You can use this practice anytime that you feel triggered,
That something difficult comes up and you feel shortness of breath or some stress,
Some anxiety,
Any kind of discomfort or disruption to this sense of peace,
Of serenity when you feel totally safe.
And so slowly coming back to this time and place,
Deepening your breath,
Feeling good in your body,
Feeling safe,
Grounded,
Gently wiggling your fingers and your toes,
Feeling in your body,
Feeling yourself present in this room,
Completely relaxed,
Completely safe.
And when you're ready,
Gently opening your eyes.
