And in On a fine day go down to the river.

Relax and concentrate on the water.

Pick up a dry stone.

Take your bad memories and rub them into the stone.

Take your worries,

Take your negative thoughts and slowly rub them in.

Take great care and ensure that all bad things are rubbed deep into the stone.

Now face downstream and throw your stone into the river.

Watch as the river slowly washes the stone and carries your demons away,

Away,

Away.

Close your eyes and feel the relief inside as the badness is transported slowly away to the sea to remain forever in the depths.

Slowly turn around,

Look upstream and think.

From where does the river flow?

She's Mother Earth's artery so she flows from the heart.

Look upstream to the future.

What could her waters bring?

How long has the river flowed?

What has she seen?

What has she carried away?

What joy has she brought?

Go regularly to the river and observe her.

Notice there is more sparkle in the water upstream than in the murky waters that have passed.

Forget the waters downstream and their distant unwanted cargo.

Look at yourself now and imagine what the approaching sparkling waters may bring.
