Breathe In, Bliss Out: A Guided Feel-Good Breathwork

This guided energizing breathwork will oxygenate your body, calm your mind and help you to feel good in just five minutes. This breathwork uses a count: when I say 1, you will breathe in through your nose and when I say 2, you will breathe out of your nose. If you are congested, then you can breathe in and out through your mouth. The most important thing is you draw the breath all the way into your belly (rather than the chest), and try to breathe as deeply as possible.

Welcome to this guided breathwork.

When I say one,

Breathe in through your nose.

When I say two,

Breathe out through your nose.

Deep breaths.

Relax and rest in the breathless.

Let your whole body melt down and ever so slowly with control,

Breathe out.

And take a moment to enjoy all the benefits of this practice.

Notice the rhythm of your heartbeat.

And rest your awareness on the natural rhythm of your breath.

As I invite you to reach for a high feeling thought.

It could be an I am statement.

It could be a wish or even a word.

Take a moment to think about something that feels good and uplifting and inspiring now.

And take a deep breath in.

And on your exhale send it out to the world.

As you ever so slowly start to come back to the space that you are in.

Maybe wiggle your fingers and toes.

Take as long as you need.

Ahhh! This is a wonderful way to focus on the breath. The change-up with the in-and-out breaths was invigorating. I felt energized from it. The second half regrounded me and helped me focus on being in the here and now. I feel ready to take on the rest of my day.

As always, beautifully guided (although I did mess up the when I heard it and you sped up, but I know for next time). I swear by you Alisha, I really do. I cannot remember tha last time I DIDN'T do your meditations in the morning. Usually parts of 'The morning meditation' set but I'll do Clarity and then Energy and then, I move to your 'Get energised in 5' one. I actually know these to heart and breathe perfectly to them because I've listened that much! You're amazing, you really are. Clear, concise and creative.
