This practise is for those wanting an excellent night’s sleep. This is a simple technique to withdraw the mental energy and practice mindfulness of the eyes, which will induce the relaxation response. A gentle yogic mudra is used to initially calm the eyes. An eye pillow may also be helpful for this lying down practise, but not necessary. A mindful journey of eyes and heart and will help you to reduce tension behind the eyes, and reduce heart rate. The extended out-breath is utilised.
