True generosity is often described as the act of recognizing the mutual dignity inherent in all life, then subsequently working to balance the ongoing and evolving empowerment of all life. Generous people are able and willing to give. They give both financially and of themselves in a way that benefits the recipient. Their gifts may include time, money, things, and encouragement.

Music Hello everyone.

Thank you for joining today's meditation.

First,

Find a comfortable position,

Take a few deep long breaths and close your eyes.

Remember,

There is no right or wrong way to breathe or sit.

Find what is most honouring to your body.

Get still and notice your beating heart.

There is no meditation without a generous heart.

It is essential to your practice.

As you notice your heart,

Notice everyone in the whole world's heart beating also.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Give generously to yourself and others by any means possible.

The true noble path is marked by generosity.

Breathe in this divine truth.

Like humility,

Generosity is part of our true authentic nature.

Breathe in this truth.

Generosity has many levels.

Think generously,

Speak generously,

Act generously.

Breathe in this truth.

Generosity comes from hearts that are fearless and free,

Willing to share abundantly all that is given to us.

Breathe in this truth.

Generosity lies at the heart of our spiritual practice,

And with practice our hearts will grow stronger and lighter.

Breathe in this truth.

Extending generosity to ourselves and others,

Gladden our hearts,

Is a direct way of healing division and brings joy.

Breathe in this truth.

It is our obligation to generously add more love in the world.

Breathe in this truth.

When we practice generosity in all forms,

The dharma and spiritual refuge will be maintained for generations to come.

Breathe in this truth.

Please take a final deep long breath,

And when you are ready to open your eyes,

May you be well,

May you be happy,

May you be peaceful.

Thank you.
