Intentions truly have no limit. If you decide that you would like to feel balanced and happy every day, there’s no end to that. You also can enjoy the flexibility of not having to hit a degree of happiness each day. If today you’re just a little happy, while yesterday you felt like you were flying, you’ve still achieved your intention.

Hello world,

Together let's begin a celebration of the new year.

Sit up tall,

Gently close your eyes and begin to slow down your breathing.

Take a few deep long breaths and let go of past and future.

As we enter a new year,

We have great opportunity to reset.

Now is your time to slow down.

Take two deep long breaths in and out through your nose as you begin to settle your mind.

Start by just taking notice of where you are in this present moment.

Scan your body and mind for information.

Notice how you feel physically and mentally.

Begin to observe your thoughts in a neutral,

Non-judgmental way as they come and go.

Now begin to scan through the year in your mind.

For sure you will think of all the changes this year.

All the sorrow and suffering.

But let's find the blessings.

They are everywhere when we look for them.

Slowly like watching a movie,

Reel of highs,

Lows and big and small moments from your ear.

Make a mental list of good changes.

Start with January 1st.

Move through the year,

Month by month,

Recalling people,

Moments,

Emotions,

Activities,

Details,

Mistakes,

Highlights,

All of it.

Play through these memories from the year little by little in your mind.

As they come to you,

Watch them and identify the blessings,

The opportunities,

The joy.

Stay with each moment for a while and breathe.

When you reach the end of December,

Notice how you feel.

Settle your attention on your biggest challenge from this year.

In what ways did this experience,

Person or situation challenge you?

What would you have done differently,

Given the opportunity to repeat this experience?

What did you learn from this experience and what intention can you make for next year?

Settle your attention on your favorite moment from the last year.

Notice how your body feels as you identify the joyful time.

Replay this moment in your mind's eye.

Try to take that feeling into all of your cells with your entire mind and heart and really feel that state you were in.

When you were living through this favorite moment,

Don't rush,

Breathe slowly and really feel this joy.

As you bring your attention to this positive memory,

Create the intention to integrate more of these feelings into the coming year.

Stay with it for another minute and then slowly transition your mind back into the present moment by bringing your awareness back to your breath.

Deep inhale and slow exhale.

Take a moment before you open your eyes.

Time is an illusion.

The past is gone.

The future is not promised.

I am so happy to be with you here now in this divine present moment.

May you be well.

May you be happy.

May you be peaceful.

A great way to recap last year and learn from it. The ending was a bit abrupt but otherwise it was a great meditation.
