Welcome.
This meditation is inspired by my brother who asked me post open heart surgery to create a meditation for people recovering from any major surgery or working on open heartedness.
So lie down.
If laying down isn't comfortable for you,
Sit up,
Establish a comfortable architecture in your shape,
And then close your eyes.
Take three deep breaths in through the nose and open the mouth to exhale.
Imagine that with each breath all the points of contact of your back body are earthing you.
This earthing allows you to reclaim your essence of being grounded,
Protected,
And supported by something bigger.
Let the breath bring you in and take some time to give yourself permission to heal.
Often when the body or the mind is experienced,
Experiencing a shift,
An opening,
There are moments to feel everything.
So see each deep breath as a gift,
Not a given.
And see if you can travel and watch the breath guide you on an inside journey.
Be open to what shows up for you.
See if you can support yourself in cultivating more freedom,
More spaciousness in your entire vessel,
Container,
Cast,
Or whatever you call your being.
With each breath,
If it feels right for you,
The simple mantra,
I am healing.
I am healing.
I am healing.
Anytime the mind wanders,
See if you come back to the breath as an invitation.
This inhale,
This exhale,
This inhale,
This exhale.
Infuse deep gratitude for each breath and trust in something bigger in this process of healing.
If you're noticing any areas of tension in the root of the eyes,
The hinge of the jaw,
Base of the tongue,
Back of the throat,
Soften.
Let this softness blossom your heart,
Your heart space so you may welcome healing,
So that you may welcome support.
Trusting that,
Yielding now,
Being receptive now,
And believing that your breath can nourish you is a starting point for delving deeper into the den of your heart,
Being open and revealed as an expression of the depth of your being.
You can continue as long as you like on your back or seated with that mantra,
I am healing.
I am healing.
I am healing.
Watch keenly what comes up for you.
See if you can notice even the small seeds that you plant of openness.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
