Welcome,

I'm Bex and this is a guided meditation for softening and allowing yourself to return and reclaim that homeostasis,

That space inside that holds the memory that you have everything that the mind and the body benefit from slowing down and that stillness yields a huge reward for restoring.

So go ahead and find a comfortable seat or if you prefer recline.

I really believe the essence of meditation comes from establishing a foundation that allows you to feel at ease in your body,

Heart,

Mind and just inside your inner landscape.

So for this meditation when you close your eyes you will tune in first to the breath and the rising and the falling of the belly if that's where your breath seems to find its way.

In that abdominal cavity if you feel the belly kind of pooch on an inhale and retain back toward the spine on an exhale.

It may be for you that in the contents of your torso the breath actually provides more space in the ribs so you just would note that the width in the ribs and the narrowing.

Now for this meditation you're not controlling the pressure changes in your body you're just watching.

If it's possible you almost allow the breath to be the invitation into the conversation of returning to your center.

So you're clear that if the mind wanders you come back to the breath.

Meditation as a guide to returning once again.

And so now with your eyes closed see if you can imagine pulling your eyes the balls of the eyes away retracting them away from the eyelids just enough that there's a sense of setting the eyes back and when that happens it's a reminder that you can also set the organ of the brain back away from the skull.

And it always supports you to keep returning to breath and then just to noticing how are my eyes can I soften.

Can I follow that softening into my organ of my brain and then can I breathe deeply.

So using repetition the same cue third time eyes softening away from my lips setting back in brain softening away.

And so you're entering more into a space of the heart mind where the breath feels your senses withdraw from the outer world and really deeply reclaiming this connection to the seed of your soul if that resonates your spirit your inner divine light.

Or maybe it's just that quiet space.

So you highlight the breath and then layer it with skin feeling soft a layer beneath it the fascia feeling soft the muscle and then you allow the bones to feel heavy and the lightness will be revealed simply by noting the breath and then allowing softness tenderness really allowing yourself to be more receptive to yourself.

So you take these moments in this unique intimate conversation with yourself right you've never had this moment in time breathing into your container vehicle your body with a pure interest and seeing slowness as beauty and letting the critical mind go on a vacation and just coming back to your pure essence to being your illuminated self.

And so you can sit like this for a longer amount of time.

If you're reclined you can recline like this for a longer amount of time.

You can always repeat those steps which are really simple right eyes are closed eyes themselves come into your inner landscape breath deepens entering a conversation with yourself that is all about breathing your way in breathing your way out and finding a little sliver a little slice of receptivity planting that seed.

So there really is no end to this meditation it just shifts you into a beginning you either decide that you'll slowly begin to come back and gently open your eyes and when you take in your outer view can you be soft can you engage with it or you'll continue to recline or sit and enjoy this time with yourself.

May it nourish you may it support you in healing and may you see that everything is inside.

Thanks so much.

Enjoy your day.

I was skeptical initially regarding how much I would enjoy this meditation, but wound up loving it. There is no music, there are neither chants, bells, nor sounds of wind or water. Instead, there's the guidance of someone sounding like a trusting, caring friend who knows the meditative state intimately; in a conversational style, she draws you into it.
