Welcome.
I'm Bex and this will be a meditation for peace.
You'll work with a simple mantra,
Peace begins with me.
So now that we've laid that out there,
Find a comfortable seat,
Recline or if you prefer you can practice standing.
Please note that now is your time to cultivate mindful based training and with that is a deep commitment to being enrolled in the practice.
So once you've established that comfortable seat,
Reclined shape or standing position,
Allow yourself to reclaim your breath in your body,
Feeling the pressure changes,
Arrival of inhale,
Departure of exhale and in each moment start to scan the body for any unnecessary tension.
The layer that you add on in this practice is simple.
Peace begins with me.
Invite an arousal of awareness that reminds you you have everything inside yourself.
All the questions,
All the answers,
They reside within.
Especially when our outer climate is on high alert,
Moving too quickly or feeling intense.
This mantra and this offering,
Peace begins with me as a way in to regulating inner ecosystem and allowing the mindset to be one of presence.
This is the practice.
So you start exactly where you are.
Breath in body,
Breath out.
Sharpening that focus,
Peace begins with me.
If or when a thought arrives,
Simplicity of that is a thought.
Aftertaste,
That is a taste.
Maybe an after scent,
Smelling.
If something comes up,
Hearing,
Clothing,
Touching skin,
Feeling.
All very basic,
Inviting the mind into the space,
Staying on the path.
Peace begins with me.
Sometimes it's helpful for each breath to link with each word and this can be a nourishment for the mind.
So on the inhale,
Peace.
On the exhale begins.
On the inhale,
With.
On the exhale,
Me.
There is a generosity in the heart space and a reclaiming the wholeness that is your essence as you reclaim peace begins with me.
And this very intentional slowness cultivates kindness and the beauty of unhurrying.
Echoing through the breath,
The body is the mantra.
Peace begins with me.
So the task is to expand the mindset and allow the expression of the concentration,
Peace begins with me.
The root of the eyes and the tongue are soft,
Slack in the jaw,
Unclenching whatever might be resisting.
And following that trail,
Peace begins with me.
May the peace feel wholesome within you.
May the peace allow you to begin again.
And may you recognize that peace is your birthright.
Peace begins with me.
If you'd like to continue,
Stay as long as you like.
And for those of you ready to come back into the space,
Slowness,
Unhurrying and a sense of peace begins with me.
Thank you so much for sharing this practice,
For taking this time for self-care.
May you be happy,
May you be healthy and may you be at ease.
Namaste.
