
Coming Home Meditation

Going within should feel like a great place to hang out! Be gently guided back home to yourself and the amazing person that you are! It is often said the heaviest burden we carry is the thoughts in our head. When we are living in our minds and in our head, in can be hard to see the bigger picture. When we experience challenging times such as feelings of strong emotions, stress, anxiety, anger, or fear, these it is very difficult to hear the signals from within.

Hello and welcome to this Rise to Shine meditation.
I'm Becks Thompson and thank you for allowing me to be your guide here today.
I invite you now to find a quiet space,
Either sit or lie down,
Just allowing yourself to come into a comfortable space of effortless ease.
Let the momentum of your energy begin to slow,
Gently closing down your eyes as you begin to draw your attention inward.
And with your eyes,
Your lenses now closed off to how you view the outside world,
Just bring your attention to your inside experience,
Feeling your intent,
Your focus right behind your eyes.
Our meditation here today is about coming back into our body,
Back home to ourself.
It is often said the heaviest burden we carry is the thoughts we carry in our head.
And when we live in our minds all the time,
It can be hard to see the bigger picture.
Often when we are experiencing challenging times,
Such as feelings and strong emotions,
Stress,
Feelings of anxiety,
Anger or fear,
These feelings can make it difficult to hear the signals arising from within.
Our inner messages are always there.
They are always waiting for us.
But when the noise from our external world is too loud,
It drowns out these authentic soul messages coming from within.
So in today's meditation,
We will gently be guided to come back home,
Come back to yourself,
Connecting with yourself with complete compassion,
Complete care.
By taking this time for yourself here today,
You open the gateway to listen inward,
Allowing yourself more presence,
More embodiment and a greater level of responsiveness over reacting.
All this goodness then comes back with you naturally when we awake and go back to listening to the outside world.
So let's first of all bring our awareness to where our intent,
Where our energy is right now.
Just notice,
Is it in your body or not?
Maybe it is slipped back up into your mind.
So just allow yourself to bring your awareness back down into your body,
Feeling that focus,
That intent behind your eyes.
And just allow your body to soften,
Relax while still maintaining that focus.
Begin to bring awareness to your breath.
Just watching your body breathe,
Let it all be as it is and allow for your body to just be.
Just breathe.
Allow any distractions from the outside world to simply fade off into the distance as you feel yourself consciously choosing to relax.
As your body begins to give way,
Feel yourself just completely surrendering to the surface below you,
Allowing any tension or tightness to be released.
Noticing how good it feels to just let go.
And as you let go,
You feel yourself going deeper and deeper within as you signal to your mind and your body that it is completely safe to relax and to enjoy this practice.
And now that you are relaxing,
I want you to really turn down the dial on your monkey mind.
So first locate that point in the middle of your head,
Halfway between your eyes,
Halfway between your ears and bring your awareness to this point of stillness.
Once you find this location within,
Sense the calmness,
Sense the stillness that this special spot holds.
This is your point of utmost clarity.
And if your inner chatter is still present,
You may see a switch or a dimmer and feel free to just turn that dial down,
Turning down your mind as you turn the switch down.
This is how your mind begins to quieten and as it does,
How much more clarity and knowing that you are beginning to feel.
You are beginning to come home to your authentic self,
A place where you can really feel what is true for you right now,
A place where you can connect with your knowing,
Your complete undisputed knowing from within.
And let's now allow your clarity to strengthen even further.
Let it come forward even more as you relax even deeper down.
I'm going to count you down and as I do,
You will feel yourself going deeper inward,
Down,
Down deep within.
Here we go,
Ten,
Nine,
Feel yourself journeying within,
Eight,
Seven,
Deep,
Deep,
Down within,
Six,
Five,
Feeling deep calm and peace,
Four,
Three,
Connecting with all your inner beauty,
Your inner goodness held within,
Two and one.
Feeling you are now completely at ease and deeply relaxed.
And in your mind's eye,
I want you to bring your mind to your favorite spot in nature,
Trusting yourself and your clarity to go to exactly the right place for you.
And where do you instantly go?
Maybe you're in a bush surrounded by deep,
Lush greenery.
Perhaps you are sitting on a sandy beach watching the waves rolling in and out.
Or perhaps you are on a snowy mountain feeling the crispness of the fresh mountain air on your skin.
Just trust yourself to be led wherever you are called to go.
And as you find yourself within your beautiful,
Perfect place,
Just begin to observe your surroundings,
Knowing that I cannot describe this place for you,
But you can observe it for yourself.
It is a loving,
Sacred spot just for you.
Have a look around,
See what it looks like.
What do you see?
What do you sense?
Are there any noises that you can hear?
Knowing that you can simply be here,
Sensing the atmosphere of this place.
You can feel the pleasant energies surrounding you as the spot allows your deeper wisdom,
Your clarity,
Your intuition,
And knowing to unfold.
As you look around,
You notice there is a small temple over to your right.
And this temple is the shape of a pyramid.
You see the floor is lined with soft,
Warm,
Cozy blankets all laid out for you.
There are the plumpest,
Comfiest pillows and cushions all sitting on top,
Perfectly designed for your complete comfort.
This place has been decorated for your warmth,
For your comfort,
For your complete peace and pleasure.
So you go over and rest your head down on the soft,
Fluffy pillow.
As you lay here on these soft pillows,
You snuggle down into the warm,
Heavy blanket.
You feel it covering you from top to toe.
Feel its warmth on your skin.
Here you feel totally safe,
Totally at ease,
Just like coming home.
This is your inner temple,
Your place of utmost homely comforts.
A place that welcomes you,
That always awaits you,
Filling you with so much loving and adoring energy.
You feel yourself coming home,
Home to your authentic self,
Home to your knowing.
In this place,
You are beginning to notice what is true for you right now.
As you sense yourself coming home,
Feeling that warm,
Familiar feeling entering in,
Take a nice deep breath in through your nose and as you do,
Feel your heart opening up.
Feel your field of awareness now entering into your heart space.
As you gently connect deeper within,
Notice what is in your heart,
What signals and calling is your heart bringing forward.
What is most important to you in this present moment,
Where complete clarity is coming forward.
As you ask this question,
Allow the answer to arise without judgment,
Without expectations,
Just offering kindness and compassion.
Allowing this to be exactly what it is,
Your deepest desires.
Sit with this question for a moment.
What is the message of your heart?
If you notice your mind wanting to slip back in and wander in,
Gently just dim it back down and come back to reconnecting with your clarity,
With your heart in this moment.
As you relax back to presence,
You may notice the quality of your awareness is strong within you once again.
As you take time to tune out the distractions of the outside world,
Tune out the noise of the overthinking mind while knowing this takes time and practice.
Give yourself permission to continue to feel,
To relax into your peaceful place.
Feeling this deepest state of connection.
And now just ask,
What can I notice from this space that I haven't noticed before?
Allow this to come forward now.
As you lay here in your sacred home,
Allowing yourself to simply be.
Let these affirmations sink in to the deepest part of your subconscious,
Overriding anything that doesn't support you in your journey to be your own personal truth,
Held in your home.
I am deeply connected to myself,
Choosing to live aligned with my core values and my core beliefs.
Every day I take time to slow down,
To listen,
To recognize my own needs and desires.
I choose to pause before I react,
Especially during challenging or stressful situations.
This pause allows me to choose connection over reaction.
Connection for what rings true to me.
I allow my emotions to flow through me with compassion and without judgment,
Knowing that my emotions are feedback directly from my soul and my soul is my guiding compass.
I know that to be happy,
To be fulfilled,
I must connect with what is true for me.
To be the best version of myself every day,
I connect to what is true to my heart.
The more and more I do this with every day that passes,
I experience an increase in my own self-confidence and my ability to trust myself wholly and fully.
Every day my connection to myself and to my personal truth grows stronger.
All I need to do is keep believing in myself,
Trusting myself and practice sending love and kindness to myself.
I trust my instincts and abilities because as I connect to my true self,
My home,
I build my confidence,
I build my strength.
As these words begin to settle in to your deepest level,
Bring your attention back to your heart space,
Looking inward once again,
Feeling your heartbeat.
As well,
Bring your awareness to your breath and you may notice the connection between your heartbeat and your breath as they now dance in unison together,
Moving and flowing in complete rhythm,
Aligning as you come home to yourself.
Just sense the energy now in your heart.
Here you feel a buzzing or vibration swirling within as your awareness grows towards the space.
Feel the start to radiate out,
Outward through your entire body,
Knowing that as you show up for yourself more and more,
You allow yourself to bring this to your outer world rather than the outside world penetrating your sacred home.
With this deep awareness of coming home to yourself,
You now have everything that you need here today.
You have spent time practicing,
Connecting to yourself,
Seeing how the strong connection can bring you into a state of peace,
A state of calm anytime you choose.
You just need to commit to slow down,
Look inwards and let the light through.
Know that the strong connection,
This positive connection will continue to grow the more you choose to come back home.
And now I will slowly begin to count you back into the room,
Bringing you out of the state of relaxation,
Back into the present moment,
Feeling relaxed yet energized and confident.
And when you awake,
This feeling will carry on into the rest of your day,
Your week,
Your month.
Five,
Beginning to awaken out of the state of comfort,
Bringing your awareness to the present moment.
Four,
Feeling relaxed,
Feeling calm as you feel the power,
Your truth radiating through your body.
Three,
Your mind still so clear and competent,
Feeling wonderful,
Emotionally calm and knowing clarity is right here with you.
Two,
Feel the strength of your competence as you believe in yourself and all that you are capable of.
One,
Bringing your awareness back to the surface below you.
You may like to wiggle your toes,
Wiggle your fingers as you gently emerge back into this moment.
And as you awaken,
Let me just recap for you what we did today.
Today we took the journey from our head back down into our body.
We came to find our safe resting place,
Our home within,
Knowing that any time we return to this safe space,
To your inner temple,
You are free to be you and nothing else,
Just wonderfully,
Perfectly you.
