Come into a comfortable position,
Seated or even lying down and closing the eyes if you're comfortable to do so.
How does it feel to be still for a moment?
A moment in time where you don't need to do anything or be anywhere.
What a gift,
What a joy to step into this present moment.
Sometimes life can present many challenges,
Big and small and it can be hard to remember that there is still much to be grateful for.
Today I invite you to take a few minutes to find gratitude,
To feel fully grateful for what you do have.
Let's start with your breath,
The breath that gives you life.
On average 150,
000 people will take their last breath today.
They will take their final exhale.
Today that is not you.
Can you find gratitude for this precious gift of another breath,
Another day?
Let's breathe together and give thanks for that.
Turning your attention to your body.
Yes you may have limitations,
Perhaps you're living with an illness or an injury but if you can just take a moment to be grateful for what your body can do.
How it carries you through the day,
Offering you grace and movement.
The body that knows how to breathe,
How to keep your heart beating and how to digest without you doing anything.
The miracle of the body.
And what of your family and friends?
Yes you may have troubled or challenging relationships but take a moment to appreciate the love that you do have in your life.
The people who care and support you and walk through this life with you.
It's so easy to get busy and take our loved ones for granted but not today.
Today you can celebrate those loving relationships and the nourishment they bring to your life.
And what else are you grateful for?
It can be anything.
Your house,
Your job,
Your car,
Your blue eyes.
There's no judgment here.
Just for a moment turn your attention to any aspect of your life you can bring your gratitude towards.
Breathe and smile and see how you feel.
Remember you can come back to this meditation.
Anytime you feel you need a reset,
Anytime you need a reminder of the blessings in your life.
I invite you to embrace the power of gratitude daily and awaken to the miracles that follow.
Namaste.
