Hi,

And welcome to our special guided meditation for you and your parent or special adult,

Where we embark on a magical journey into the vibrant world of your very own art studio.

So get really comfy,

Maybe lying down.

Get really cozy under your covers and gently close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in.

Feeling the air fill your lungs.

And then exhale slowly,

Letting go of any thoughts or worries.

As we begin,

I want you to imagine yourself standing in front of a big wooden door.

And then you open that door,

And then you step into a beautiful big room,

Where on one end there's a big window,

And on one wall there's a huge table with so many art supplies.

Then on the other wall,

There's a big wooden shelf,

And it's got all the different surfaces that you can paint on.

Paper,

And wood,

And planks,

And boards,

And jars full of paintbrushes,

And different things that you can paint with or create with.

You head over to that wooden shelf,

And beside it is a rack with aprons.

You take one,

Imagine what color it is,

And you put it on.

It fits perfectly.

Now you head over to your art table,

And you take a seat before you laze a blank canvas eagerly awaiting you to create something.

With every inhale,

Feel the excitement building within you.

And with every exhale,

Release any doubt or self-judgment.

Now I want you to imagine dipping your paintbrush into pots of vibrant colors,

Feeling the smooth texture of the paint as it glides onto the canvas.

Each stroke is a reflection of what's going on inside your world.

A burst of creativity flowing from your fingertips.

Then you look at mom or dad or your special adult.

They're expressing themselves freely with every brush stroke as well.

As you both paint,

Let your imaginations soar.

Picture yourself surrounded by swirling galaxies dancing across the canvas in a symphony of light and color.

Allow yourself to be fully present in this moment,

Savoring the beauty of what you've just created and the joy of this shared experience.

Have a look down at your painting or your creation.

What did you paint?

Was it a family member or a friend?

Perhaps your pet or something you saw outside the window?

Was it your favorite fruit?

Or an imaginary lamb that you discovered?

Take a moment to really appreciate your creation,

Adding any final details.

Using the thinnest paintbrush to finish off even the smallest,

Tiniest little details.

As our time in the art studio draws to a close,

Take one last moment to admire your work and that of your parents.

Know that each detail and each piece is a reflection of your inner light and creativity.

With gratitude in both of your hearts,

Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the present moment.

If you're going to sleep and drifting off,

You can keep your eyes closed or gently open them,

Carrying the sense of peace and inspiration with you.

Remember the magic of the art studio is always within you.

Ready to be accessed whenever you need a moment of creativity and connection with your child.

Thank you for listening to this meditation.

Please come back to it when you or your child need a little bit of guidance drifting off to sleep.

Namaste.
