Hello and welcome.
I'm Bessie and today I'm going to take you on a magical journey to help calm those big feelings you might have when you're about to start something new.
Maybe it's a new school,
A new activity,
Or even meeting new friends.
Whatever it is,
Remember,
Your feelings are like clouds in the sky.
They come,
They go,
And you're always safe beneath them.
Now find a cozy spot to sit or lie down.
Wherever you find,
Try to find somewhere where you're not going to wiggle about.
Try and close your eyes gently or just look down and let's take a big deep breath in and out.
Let's do that again.
Breathing in slowly and breathe out.
Feel your body getting softer and more relaxed with each breath.
Imagine you're standing in a beautiful meadow.
The grass is soft under your feet and the sun is warm on your face.
A gentle breeze is blowing and you feel safe and happy here.
As you look around,
You see something special.
Right in front of you is a big,
Colorful balloon.
I want you to choose what color your balloon is.
It's floating just above the ground,
Waiting for you.
This is your magic balloon.
It can hold all your feelings inside it.
Your excitement,
Your worries,
Even the feelings you can't quite put into words.
It's a very special balloon because it knows just how to take care of you.
Take a moment now to think about how you feel about starting something new.
Maybe you feel excited,
Like a butterfly fluttering in your chest.
Or maybe you feel nervous,
Like a knot in your tummy.
And whatever you're feeling,
It's okay.
Imagine gently picking up each feeling,
Like little colorful ribbons,
And placing them inside your magic balloon.
The excitement,
The nervousness,
Even any worries you might have.
Tie them all carefully to your balloon.
And you might notice your balloon getting a little fuller,
A little brighter with every feeling you put inside.
Now take a deep breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Picture your magic balloon slowly lifting into the sky.
Watch it float up higher and higher,
Carrying your feelings with it.
The balloon is light and free,
Gently drifting with the wind.
You wave goodbye,
Knowing it's taking good care of all those big feelings.
And you don't have to carry them all by yourself.
As the balloon floats away,
You feel lighter too.
Your chest feels open,
Your heart feels calm,
And your mind feels clear.
Now picture a warm,
Golden light shining right into your heart.
This light is your courage.
Your courage is always inside you,
Even when you feel nervous.
It reminds you that you are brave,
Strong,
And ready for new adventures.
Imagine this golden light filling up your whole body,
Your heart,
Your hands,
Your feet,
And then glowing all the way to the top of your head.
You are glowing with confidence and calmness.
With each breath you take,
Say to yourself,
I am safe.
I am strong.
I am ready.
You can say it again quietly in your mind,
Feeling each word sink deep inside you.
Now slowly bring your attention back to your cozy spot.
Give your fingers and your toes a gentle wiggle.
Take a deep breath in,
Feeling all that strength inside you,
And slowly letting it out.
And when you're ready,
You can gently flutter your eyes open.
You are ready for whatever comes next.
Knowing your magic balloon is always there to help whenever you need it.
Namaste.
Great job,
Everyone.
Whenever you feel those big feelings again,
Remember your magic balloon and your golden light that live inside you all the time.
You can handle anything that comes your way.
You just take a moment to breathe in and out.
And when you're ready,
You can give yourself a big hug.
You did absolutely amazing today.
