Welcome to this New Moon in Cancer Yoga Nidra,
An invitation to embrace your intuition and emotional clarity.
I am Anna and I'll be guiding you through this session designed to connect you with your intuition and set nurturing intentions for the cycle ahead.
As we embrace the gentle and compassionate energy of cancer,
Let us prepare to plant seeds of emotional healing and personal growth that will flourish in the coming months.
The New Moon is a time of new beginnings.
It is offering us a blank page to draw upon the deep intuitive energies of cancer.
In this phase of the Moon,
When the night is darkest,
It is an ideal moment to explore our inner worlds and establish intentions that align with cancer nurturing's introspective influence.
During this meditation,
You'll be guided to visualize a serene and comforting space,
Allowing yourself to release emotional burdens and open up to the gentle yet profound insights that cancer's New Moon brings.
As you settle into the space,
Allow yourself to fully embrace the possibilities of new growth,
Drawing upon the nurturing foundation that cancer provides to support your dreams and aspirations.
Now let's start by coming into a very restful,
Relaxing position,
Making any adjustments you need to create space for deep relaxation.
Allow yourself to return to your body's innate wisdom of the necessity for rest.
Feel yourself supported by the surface your body is resting upon.
Take some deep breaths and allow your entire body to relax and drop deeper into the surface beneath you.
Now bring attention to the sounds around you.
Notice the sounds at the farthest point away from you.
Notice the sounds closest to you.
Now draw your awareness inwards.
Notice the sound of your breath.
Now become aware of your breath and tune into that beautiful breath that flows in and out without changing.
You're simply inviting awareness to notice what is through the nose and out through the mouth.
There may be even a sense of ease by just simply tuning into the waves of breath flowing in and out.
Now seal the lips together and allow yourself to naturally breathe in and out through the nose.
Now begin to extend the exhalation very gently,
Simply by letting the in-breath happen.
Begin to extend the exhalation very gently,
Simply by letting the in-breath happen naturally,
But extending the exhalation.
You may do this by visualizing the in-breath coming through the crown of the head and the visualizing the out-breath sweeping through the body and down and out through the soles of the feet and beyond.
So the focus is on lengthening the exhalation,
Breathing in the crown of the head,
And breathing out the soles of the feet.
Now let that go and just come to a natural organic breath.
Let the breath just flow in and out,
Wave of ease moving throughout the body with the breath.
Begin to peel layer by layer as your body,
Mind,
And spirit is nourished by rest.
Layer by layer,
You're unfolding your heart space and your sankalpa or intention.
Your sankalpa or heart's desire is spoken in the positive as if it's already happening.
You may be working with a sankalpa or you could choose to repeat,

We will now move through a rotation of consciousness,
Experiencing a sensation of energy at each point.

You may like to imagine a healing light touching each point I name and welcoming in sensations of prana life force energy in each of this point.
Beginning on the right side of the body,
Feel sensation of energy in the right hand thumb,
The second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger,
Fifth finger,
Fourth finger,
Pinky finger.
Experience sensation of healing light inside the palm of the right hand,
Back of the hand,
Middle of the wrist,
Lower arm,
Elbow,
Upper arm,
Shoulder joint,
Armpit,
Right side of the chest,
Heart center.
Sensation of energy traveling down the right side of the waist,
The right hip,
Right thigh,
Right knee,
Right ankle,

Feel energy in the right big toe,

Experience the sensation of pranic life force energy lighting up the entire right side of the body.

Now taking your time to float your awareness of sensations of energy over to the left side of the body.

Experience sensation of healing light inside the palm of the left hand,
The back of the hand,
The middle of the wrist,

Experience the whole body,
The right side,
The left side,
The front,

Sensations of pranic life force energy lighting up the whole body together.
Begin to feel the waves of the breath effortlessly breathing.
Feel the breath wash through you as your body was an ocean flowing with the breath,
Riding the waves of the breath.
As you inhale,
You feel the natural expansion.
As you exhale,
You feel the natural release.
Feel the whole body breathing.
Begin to feel a magnetic pull of your body towards the earth.
Heaviness all throughout the body.
All throughout the body.
A magnetic pull grounding you into the core of the earth.
The whole body is heavy,
Grounded,
Supported,
Held and safe.
Now begin to feel lightness throughout your body.
Your body is light,
Buoyant,
Floating up towards the sky.
Your whole body is completely light and floating.
I feel both grounded and floating simultaneously.
Feel both as a whole grounded and light.
Now imagine yourself standing at the edge of a calm,
Serene lake under the night sky.
Surface of the lake is smooth and reflective.
It's mirroring the vast expanse of stars above.
This lake represents your inner world,
A place of stillness and deep reflection.
As you stand by the lake,
Feel the gentle nurturing energy of cancer surrounding you.
It's inviting you to explore your emotions and to connect with your intuition.
It's inviting you to feel,
Feel,
Feel.
Feel.
Now picture the moon's soft glow.
Even if hidden,
It's illuminating the landscape.
It's bringing its gent illumination towards the water,
The lake.
Walk slowly to the water's edge and now see a small boat waiting for you.
Take your time to step into the boat and allow it to gently glide across the water.
As you float,
Feel the soothing energy of the lake embracing all over you.
The water is calm.
It's reflecting the peace within you.
As you reach the center of the lake,
Look down into the water and see your reflection.
This is your true self,
Free from all distractions and worries.
Feel a deep sense of connection with this part of you.
Allowing any emotions that arise to surface.
Take your moment to acknowledge them,
To feel it deep within you.
And then when you're ready,
You can release them into the water,
Watching them dissolve and disappear.
Feel the weight lifting from your heart as it drops into the water,
Leaving you lighter and more at peace.
Letting your visualization go for now,
Knowing that everything is being taken care of by divine and you can deeply rest.
Enjoy resting in blissful awareness,
Knowing that you're perfect and whole.
Resting here,
In silence.
Now gently bringing your awareness back to the space at the center of your heart.
See a rose petal unfolding and opening up to you.
Unfolding and opening up from that beautiful space of your heart.
It's within that rose that flourishes that you bring your awareness back to your sankalpa.
Repeating your sankalpa now or perhaps repeating,

And very gently starting to deepen the breath and bringing your awareness back to being aware.
Beginning to feel all the cumulative benefits of the practice and the benefits of welcoming in gratitude and the healing frequencies of that connection with the potential of the new moon.
Notice any shifts that might have occurred during the practice.
That might have occurred during your practice.
Begin to feel your toes and your fingers.
Maybe inviting little gentle movements into the body to reawaken the body.
Checking in with how you're feeling.
Checking in with what you're grateful for and what truly matters in your life.
And once you're back,
I invite you to bring your hands into your heart space.
As you touch your heart,
Just take a moment to thank yourself for showing up for making the time to connect with that time of the month where a new cycle begins.
And may you remember that that space of connection,
That space to feel,
To reconnect with your truest inner self is always there.
All you need to do is to keep showing up again and again and again.
And slowly bring your hands in prayer in front of your heart.
