Many of us have places in nature we love and where we feel safe and connected. When we spend time there, we absorb the beauty, peace of the surroundings into our being. Even when we are not physically in this place, we can call on these earth spots through our embodied imagination, bringing their supportive qualities to bear on our current situation and state. We can use this earth spot practice to regulate our nervous system by anchoring ourselves in a ventral vagal state. Our Earth Spot can become a place we return to over and over again to find grounding, and resources, and help us to find a different perspective on our life questions.
