Hello friend.
Today's practice is about.
.
.
Letting go of any labels that you've put on yourself or that others have put on you.
The way that you are perceived in the world.
Finding that vision of the true you.
And presenting yourself in that way.
I welcome you to begin making yourself comfortable and supported.
For this meditation if you are not comfortable.
Safe to close your eyes or you prefer to keep them slightly open or hold a soft gaze.
I might suggest sitting in front of a mirror for this.
Particular practice.
Noticing the way that your body is touching the surface beneath you grounding in Breathing deeply through your nose.
Exhale through your mouth.
And now the next breath,
As you exhale,
I invite you to close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Allowing the acceptance and the non-judgment within yourself to wrap around you.
Like a comfortable blanket warm and heavy.
Helping to ground you further.
You letting the noises and the sounds around you fade into the distance One more breath in.
And out.
We can get caught up in the labels of society.
Or those labels that others place on us.
Like parent,
Spouse,
Occupation.
.
.
All of the roles that we take on for others.
Now you can let those labels go.
With a breath.
The true you is inside,
Begging to be seen and accepted.
And it starts with you,
My friend.
Don't let those labels get too comfortable.
They may not necessarily be wrong or bad.
But they are not all that you are inside.
Access the true,
Authentic you,
Deep down.
What would be different.
Your clothes,
Your energy the words you use.
Or the way you spend your time.
Imagine that you No judgment here.
You weren't meant to fit in a box.
Let the lines blur.
You're allowed to be many things.
You're allowed to pivot,
Grow,
Change.
If we approach life by considering others are mirrors of ourselves,
Therefore we are mirrors for others.
It's interesting that with all of the reflections happening,
We are afraid of being seen.
We hide behind the labels because we think it's what others want,
What's acceptable.
Inside many of us though,
Is a light that's trying to break through and shine into the mirrors around us.
This light lets others know it's okay to shine too.
There is nothing to be afraid of.
When you show others what's possible,
They'll believe they can do it too.
The world needs more of that.
True authentic light shining and reflecting off of the mirrors around us.
Turn to your breath and imagine the light within.
Shining through and into the mirrors around you in your life.
If you decide to accept that inner you and let them spill out into your life,
Even in small ways to start.
You can shake those labels and rewrite the definition of you.
Your own fears of being seen aren't anything new or unique to you.
They live within most people.
When you look in a mirror,
Tell the reflection,
It's okay to be seen.
It's okay to let your light shine.
Repeat those affirmations to yourself quietly or aloud It's okay to be seen.
It's okay to let your inner light shine.
What is one thing you can do to change the way others perceive you?
To make others see there is more to you than what they have chosen to label you as,
Or what you have chosen to label yourself as.
Bring a little bit of that light into your heart and carry it with you today.
The world needs to see you for who you are.
I invite you to place a hand or two over your heart feel the warmth of the light within Breathe in.
.
.
And how.
Again,
Back to noticing the way that your body is held by the surface beneath you.
Holding you.
Bringing movement and sensation back into your fingers and toes maybe into your shoulders and your neck slowly opening your eyes giving them a few blinks.
Drop the labels and the fears,
My friend.
Let your inner light shine sending endless love.
And Divine Light.
