Hello friend.
Mom.
Friend.
Can we just start by taking a deep breath?
In through your nose.
Yeah.
Out through your mouth.
Okay.
Maybe one more.
In.
You Ow.
Now that the house might be a little quieter.
Little lost light.
A little less noise.
You're able to find a comfy place to curl up.
Maybe lay back.
Maybe you're just laying down to go to bed.
I find closing my eyes helps remove outside distraction.
If you intend to.
Fall asleep,
I invite you to go ahead and close your eyes.
Maybe have some candlelight.
Or the room can be totally dark.
Today was a hard day.
One of those days that every little thing the sounds,
The questions,
The volume.
The endless to-do's can all feel like it just builds up.
Little by little.
And you know those things.
Aren't a big deal.
Children make noise.
Her learning and inquiring.
Things happen.
Drinks are spilled.
The dog bowl spills over at the worst possible time.
Your kids won't take a nap even though they need one so badly.
You made the snacks wrong or it's time to get up and get another snack.
I know it can feel like a lot.
To be.
The one who is always helping someone else with something,
And everyone needs something at the same time.
I know for me the feeling starts in my belly and it feels like it builds up even more and more in my chest.
And then to my throat and out my mouth.
And sometimes I stop and think,
Why did I just do that?
Sometimes apologies are made and sometimes they're not.
This is all normal.
Cause everyone is learning.
You Just like kids have hard days,
Grown-ups have hard days too.
The day is done,
And.
.
.
Kids are sleeping.
The house is tidied up.
And You just feel so grateful.
Even on the hard days.
Looking around your home and being grateful for this phase of life.
For all of the opportunities that were given to you today.
Chances to start over or begin again.
The connection and even the space.
Every day can feel like such a roller coaster with the ups and the downs.
The laughs and the tears.
And I think that's okay.
Pressure that we receive from the outside to have it all together or have everything clean or entertain your kids.
It's a lot.
And I don't think it's necessary.
You are doing a great job,
My friend.
Tomorrow is a new day.
And there's always an opportunity for connection and forgiveness and apologies I'm proud of you for taking a few minutes to yourself at the end of this long day.
I hope this helps you reground yourself.
Find gratitude.
What are three things that you are grateful for today?
Reach beyond.
The obvious answer.
And really be present with the memory of your day.
You any of the parts that are overwhelming or start to make you feel that build up in your stomach or your chest Take a deep breath in.
And let it all go.
One more time in.
.
.
And out.
Notice the shift within.
And I hope that shift stays with you through the night and into the morning.
And you can start tomorrow with a smile.
Some excitement and not so much anxiety or fear.
You are strong.
You are a loving parent.
And you are doing your best.
And bless those little ones.
Their innocence.
We know we love our babies.
Sleep well my friend.
Sending endless love.
And Divine Light.
