Hi,

This is Barbara Battilotti of Be Alive and Well,

And today's meditation is quiet to a blend of quiet and gratitude.

If it's possible to turn off anything that is producing sound,

Please do that now.

This will be for just a few minutes.

So silent your phone or any other notification signals.

Turn off any music or ambient surrounding sounds.

And then fall still.

Stop whatever you're doing.

Close your eyes if it's safe to do so and take some nice full deep breaths.

And if your eyes need to be opened,

Then let your vision rest on something pleasing and soften your focus.

If your eyes are closed,

Allow them to relax even more.

Now become aware of the sounds within the space or room you are in.

Allow for detachment.

Just observe what sounds are in your environment.

Maybe you become aware of sounds outside of the room or space that you're in.

And maybe there's a brief moment of silence.

Take this moment to appreciate your ability to hear.

Appreciate how taking a minute to be aware of sound or even silence can guide you into the present moment.

Maybe this little meditation relaxed or refreshed you.

Feel free to open your eyes.

You can turn the sounds back on and enjoy the rest of your day.

This is Barbara Battilotti with the Meditation Minute.

Thank you for listening.

I was walking outside, and so I couldn't turn sounds off. But, this is still nice as a mini breather.

sometimes this is about all i can begin to do as far as a meditation goes... so i’m grateful that i don’t have to judge my restlessness and just stop breathe & reflect on my surroundings just for a couple minutes- so thank you -Barbara- you have a nice warm voice and genuine intention of goodness - God bless all.
