Empty the mind for blissful sleep.
Before you begin this meditation,
You may wish to bring kind awareness to why you've chosen this topic.
Be curious as you define your why or your intention for this meditation.
Now,
Check in and notice how does your belly feel?
Maybe take a nice breath and soften your belly.
How does your chest feel?
Can you take a few deep breaths into your lungs,
Feeling your ribcage expand?
You might be aware of your belly and back inflating ever so slightly,
Or maybe fully.
If you'd like,
Continue to breathe and notice what your body sensations are.
Noticing begins to focus your mind into this present moment,
The here and now,
The here and now,
This moment,
Here and now.
Easily and gently scan your body from temples to toes and soften your body as you travel down from the top of your head to the soles of your feet.
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Each breath anchors your mind into the here and now,
Into this moment.
Now,
Flow your attention towards your head and melt the tension all around your head.
Feel spaciousness of the skull bones,
The loosening of your skin all around your head and down into the base of your neck.
Feel the brain untangle,
Freeing thoughts and the mind.
The forehead becomes smooth and soft.
No thoughts,
Free of thought,
Like a gentle stream flowing by without a care.
Any thoughts drifting,
Letting them go for now.
For now,
Enjoying a breath and exhaling into emptiness,
An empty mind.
And sometimes there can be a thought that you're thinking mind wants to address.
For now,
You can let it drift through.
You can think at another time.
For now,
The forehead softens and the forehead of your mind is like a chalkboard that you can easily erase.
So,
Imagine taking a moist sponge and being able to wipe clean anything on that chalkboard of your mind.
That board on your mind with thoughts and worries and concerns and ideas.
Notice how good it feels just to clean the forehead of your mind and even clean the corners of that board,
The corners of your mind.
Now look at that board.
Is there anything else you can clean off?
And when the forehead of your mind,
That board that you're looking at,
Is all clean and clear,
Allow yourself to drift.
Just drift away the mind,
The body.
Off you go.
Sleep in peace.
Wake in joy.
