So go ahead and find the meditation posture push the crown of the head up towards the ceiling All the shoulders back and down Now take a deep deep breath and exhale One more time super deep breath in and exhale one more time super deep breath in and exhale Good now float back to childhood You find yourself in an ideal place to grow up Totally safe totally at ease now really develop this scene What does it look like?
What does it even smell like?
What does it sound like?
Good and now Go ahead and Imagine a perfect nurturer Just go ahead and start with one And that they approach you You see them coming at a distance And then already it's clear from a distance There's this quality of Trustworthiness That's right And now they come near And there's this really Sweet and light quality Just interest in you like oh Hey,
How are you?
And you can just tell that they're happy to see you.
It's a very plain and easy kind of way and now This is important feel into being safe and secure with them Really feel that The very core of your being and by Really feeling that now have them show you That you're safe that you're protected and also That they are totally trustworthy Again,
Shape and reshape the scene to really feel that So notice their patience and how happy they are to be with you There's nowhere else that they'd rather be That's right Shaping and reshaping the scene to really feel safe and protected but Okay,
So now we're gonna kind of road test this relationship What we're going to do is very Briefly imagine some sort of threat Or danger And then we're going to have the perfect nurturers protect us Okay,
So go ahead and just for a moment imagine some sort of threat or danger and let that Emotionally dysregulate you just very briefly And now the perfect nurturers swoop in They remove the danger or remove you from the danger and now They attune to you They see that that was a bit scary And they physically comfort you in just the right way Go ahead and develop that scene That's right.
Keep going And see how they respond to you in just the right way And also see how they understand that they they get it They know what it's like to have been scared They really give you this sense of containment Really being held And as being held You feel it in the body Go ahead and feel that now And you feel it in the mind And also notice how the perfect nurturers are very happy to meet this need for safety and protection This is no big deal.
There's nowhere else that they would rather be And so now feel into the reliability Of the care Right Keep going Good and now feel how This experience has imprinted on you deeply and now Imagine yourself moving through your real adult life But have this sense of the perfect nurturers kind of in the background Supporting you keeping you safe That's right Really feeling into that and now see yourself moving Through just daily life experiences But feeling more supported Feeling safer But now make a deep impression of that And now i'll count from five to one And when I get to one you'll be awake and present in the room That'll end the experience five four three two one Awake and present in the room That'll end the experience
