Unprecedented circumstances call for extraordinary measures.
This is the time for you to go within and turn to your inner knowing more than you ever have before.
This is the time when fear no longer reigns within your body or mind and you are free to soften and become.
You are cocooning yourself in love and compassion during this time,
Caring for yourself by turning inward to that still,
Small voice.
The part of you that is God or Source or the universe,
Whatever you call it,
We all have it.
And one day you will emerge,
After the present circumstances have passed,
More present in your power from within than ever before.
You do this by giving yourself unparalleled grace,
Unparalleled permission to relax and just be,
Unparalleled compassion for any feelings that arise and the unparalleled ability to follow the next right step heard through stillness and deep breaths.
Metamorphosis is uncomfortable.
It takes time and requires energy,
So you may have less to give to others.
You may need more rest than usual,
So be gentle with yourself as you build your cocoon and take this time to transform.
Do not fight against the slowdown.
Give your mind grace when it resists the letting go.
It's only doing its job to protect you.
Accept the feelings it struggles through and cultivate endless amounts of compassion in this time.
Your mind may wonder what you are transforming into.
Does a butterfly know what it will look like after metamorphosis?
Probably not.
And this will probably be the same for you.
The inner knowing only gives you the next right step on your path.
And right now,
The step I heard to share was to help you wrap yourself in a cocoon of love,
Strength,
Compassion,
And faith.
So let's go within now and begin to weave our cocoon that will bring transformation.
Simply close over your eyes.
Find a comfortable seated position with a tall yet relaxed spine.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
And exhale as you sigh the breath out your open mouth with a relaxing ah sound.
Do that two more times.
Inhale through the nose.
And sigh it out your mouth.
One more time.
Inhale through the nose.
Hold it at the top and sigh it out your open mouth.
Relax your shoulders down your back.
Scan your body and release any other areas of tension.
Now start to bring your awareness from your mind down the center line of your body and into your chest.
Notice the rise and fall of your lungs and chest as you breathe in and out with your natural rhythm.
Now go a little deeper into your chest and bring your awareness to your heart.
Breathe into this heart space and imagine there is a white ball of light in the center of your heart.
This ball grows lighter with every inhale and bigger with every exhale.
On the inhale the ball grows brighter and wider.
On the exhale it cocoons your entire chest in this warming,
Healing light.
Inhale it grows brighter.
Exhale it spreads down each of your arms from your shoulders to your elbows down your hands and out the tips of your fingers.
Inhale the light grows brighter still.
Exhale it washes over your hips and down each of your legs all the way to your feet and out your toes.
Inhale the light grows brighter still and exhale the light travels up your neck,
Covers your entire head and face.
The light now cocoons your entire body.
On your next inhale imagine the light growing even brighter and as you exhale it now radiates outside of your body into a cocoon around your whole body that extends out about a foot in all directions.
Imagine this loving light is cocooning your whole being in love,
Compassion and strength.
You have everything you need in here.
So drop in and get cozy.
Relax into this peaceful space for the next few minutes as I leave you to just be with your inner knowing and get comfortable in your cocoon and loving light.
Now is a good time to ask your inner knowing a question.
You may choose your own or use mine.
Inner knowing what is my next right step.
Listen deeply especially on the exhale for the next few moments.
Start to bring your awareness back into your body.
Start to wiggle your fingers and toes.
You can stretch as if you were a butterfly emerging from your cocoon.
I hope you will come back to this meditation often as you undergo your own metamorphosis in the coming weeks.
May you bring the grace,
Compassion and love from your cocoon into your home and all you do today.
Namaste.
