This is a guided meditation for when you are feeling anxious.

When you feel like your thoughts are taking you on a ride inside a tornado,

Your head is buzzing with worry.

Your thoughts are spinning you in circles.

Just stop and breathe.

Let's do this now.

Relaxing a little deeper into your chair.

Relax your shoulders down your back and gently close over your eyes.

Breathe in through your nose.

Open your mouth wide as you sigh it out your mouth.

Do that again.

Breathe in through your nose.

Sigh it out your open mouth.

Just allow your natural breath to come back and forth into your body.

Maybe breathing a little slower and deeper now.

Anxiety shows us where we are lacking peace in our lives.

Where our actions are out of alignment with our natural state of love and peace.

Today we're going to follow the trail of anxiety to its root.

A change of pace for your mind that may not seem comfortable.

It might seem a little frightening at first.

Just try to open your mind to the possibility of relief from this stress.

For when we stop running and tend to the root of the problem we find relief.

So relax a little deeper into your body now.

Imagine that you're walking through a beautiful garden.

There's a trail through a row of flowers or plants or vegetables.

Whatever you see in your garden is just right for you.

Just allow this garden to unfold in your mind's eye.

Looking around this garden and really taking in all of the beauty.

All of the life that exists around you.

There's just one thing about this garden that's not quite right.

It has an intruder.

A poisonous weed that is trying to harm your beautiful lush garden.

So as you walk around this garden sifting through all the different colored flowers or plants until you come upon the weed that is causing the problem.

You find this dark colored plant and start digging around in the dirt to find the root of it to pull it up.

The roots are so long and buried deep within the soil that you need to remove this entire plant from your garden.

So put your hands in the dirt now and dig up the roots.

Take all of this plant in its entirety out of your garden.

Take it out completely and hold it in your hand.

Examine it for the culprit of all of your troubles in this garden.

As you hold this poisonous plant ask yourself what is the weed in my life today?

What is poisoning the beauty all around me?

What situation or fear or person or problem does this weed represent in my life?

Just think about this now.

Allow your thoughts to come up.

Don't force them into a box.

Allow them to be expansive and open as you consider all possibilities for the root cause of this problem.

Now there may be something you need to do about this problem or some action you need to take or you may just need to throw it into the trash and not think about it again.

Ask yourself if there's something you can do about this problem today.

If you hear nothing then take your weed and place it into the trash next to you and know that you've removed the source of your anxiety and stress.

If you heard something and there's more to be done with the situation,

This stressor or fear then ask what is my next right step toward the highest outcome for all in this situation?

Did you hear an answer?

Good.

Now that you've found the root of your anxiety and stress and removed it,

You can start allowing yourself to feel better like a cork bobbing to the top of a surface after being held at the bottom.

You can now allow yourself to flow into more enjoyable emotional states.

When you look at the root of the situation you just removed,

How does it make you feel?

Do you feel disappointment?

Sometimes when we have to let things go,

We feel disappointed.

This is completely natural and moving you in the right direction of feeling better.

So let yourself feel disappointed for the lack of the outcome you desired.

Do you feel the cork rising a little higher now?

Keep breathing through the feelings that are coming up for you now and you're releasing and allowing the situation to come forth and be as it is.

Maybe you now feel a hole where that weed once was.

You might feel like you'll be bored now.

That's okay.

Let this hole just be here.

Allow it to hold space for something better to arise.

The more space we can make within ourselves,

The more room we leave for better feelings and situations to come up.

Sit with this empty space and appreciate the lack of negativity there now.

That which was once creating so much pain and agony is just empty space now.

Let that be.

And lastly,

Let's fill this space with love and light.

Fuel into your heart space now.

Into the area in the center of your chest and imagine a beautiful white light emanating from this space.

Imagine this light growing with every intentional breath you take.

This light is growing and spreading throughout your body and when it comes to the hole that was once your anxiety,

It spills over this hole,

Filling every crevice with love and light.

And you know that you have healed a wound that was causing deep pain and stress.

Have gratitude for the work you did today.

You've done an amazing job,

My dear.

You've brought love and light to the space within that was once filled with poison.

And should this poison start to creep back in?

Just ask your heart,

Your true self for a mantra that you can repeat if this should occur.

What mantra can I repeat if the anxiety creeps back in?

Listen deeply for the answer to this question.

Maybe the root of my anxiety has been replaced with love and light or I am love and light.

I hope you have found relief and restoration in this practice.

Feel free to sit in this beautiful space you've created for as long as you like and when you are ready,

Open your eyes.
