This 5-minute Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing) practice is designed to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and gently restore a sense of balance through a simple pattern of breathing through alternate nostrils. This traditional yogic breathing technique helps steady the mind, quiet mental chatter, and bring greater clarity and focus. Many people notice a shift after just 5–10 rounds (one round = inhale left, exhale right, inhale right, exhale left), including calmer breathing, reduced anxiety, clearer thinking, and a greater sense of balance and emotional steadiness. Use this for stress, anxiety, overthinking, emotional overwhelm, brain fog, focus, before sleep, or anytime life feels mentally or emotionally out of balance. Practice this daily, ideally once or twice a day, to support nervous system regulation, improve focus, and make calm feel more accessible throughout your day. Music by Bipul Kumar from Pixabay.
