This meditation is about learning to meet yourself gently,

Compassionately and with a little more patience.

It's about acknowledging your shadows,

Choosing not to turn away and allowing any pain to be soothed by the heart.

So begin by acknowledging whatever emotion or mind state you've brought with you into this meditation and allowing any friction to move within.

Giving some space to what feels tight,

Being patient with what feels rushed and being caring to what feels aggressive.

That is to say,

Just unhooking from the mind's storyline and giving it some care,

An ear to listen.

Stepping out of the arena of judgement to just meet every single expression of life with openness.

Letting it all into your heart.

Whether you need to meet yourself with forgiveness,

Tolerance or perhaps simply the space and dignity you deserve to be your authentic self.

Without shame,

Without fear but wholeheartedly meeting yourself as you are.

And just feel into this worthiness,

The confidence to shine brightly,

To feel full to the brim with self-worth.

To feel every part of yourself can be acknowledged,

Allowed,

Freed from condemnation with relief.

Opening your heart to all the obstacles which prevent you from inner peace and aligning with your highest potential.

Whether there's anger,

Anxiety,

Sadness or self-doubt,

Whatever the challenge,

Just lie yourself open to allow those defences the space they need to express themselves fully.

From a place of unconditional compassion,

From a place that silently,

Patiently,

Caringly withholds all judgement to see what's underneath or behind that can now begin to heal in love's caring embrace.

What happens when you give up holding back and meet yourself completely with compassion?

What happens when you just let go of the tyranny of judgement and see how life can be met with love?

How the child who repressed or hid or felt incomplete can now be held in the warm embrace of the heart or the shadows which for so long limited you from shining brightly can be freed up as the heart chooses to set them free.

No more jealousy,

No more victim mentality,

No more hatred or anguish,

Just the space and clarity to allow any painful memories to be met sincerely,

Tenderly and with understanding.

Whatever arises,

Just meeting yourself with compassion.

And so just to conclude this meditation,

Continue to be very patient and compassionate with yourself as any release unfolds in the next few hours or days.

And so finally just opening your eyes to move into your next activity with a sense of calmness.
