This guided meditation is focused on encouraging you to feel more relaxed.

It's about focusing on releasing stress so that you can begin to feel more at ease.

So begin by feeling into your body.

Just gently being aware of your arms,

Your legs and your chest.

Not changing or struggling but simply observing what feels tight and what feels loose.

Where feels stressful but also where feels calm.

Not adding to feelings but just simply noticing.

Notice how they move.

And where there's resistance,

Just giving it a little bit of space to see how that openness allows it to be relieved.

And staying in that place where nothing is judged.

Where you don't interfere with the feelings in the body.

And allowing the mind to be exactly as it is.

Happy,

Sad,

Uptight,

Confused,

Frustrated,

Anxious,

It's all allowed.

It's all just a ripple within a much vaster space where many thoughts and beliefs just pass through.

Just let the mind have its opinions with openness.

Sometimes we can become absorbed or hypnotized by the mind's ideas about who we think we are and what we perceive to be problematic.

And by encouraging ourselves to loosen any fixed beliefs or at least by choosing to withhold judgment for a while,

We can begin to feel more spacious.

We can start to calm right down.

This is letting go.

No longer being fixed to a particular view but instead using the body as a way to be present with the ever-changing flow of feelings.

And then anything becomes possible.

Any sounds,

Sensations or movements of thoughts are just happening within a much larger awareness.

Like currents in the ocean which swim around.

They might influence each other.

A thought might be felt contracting somewhere.

It's attitude harsh or gentle but just swimming around in a vast expanse of water.

It's as if the mind is just a vast expansive space in which experience happens and can be allowed to happen.

The breath forms a rhythmic swaying motion that threads through our emotional life.

And each time we let go of involvement with the mind,

If it's become fixed or struggling in some kind of way,

We can fall back into the spine and become more balanced.

Less opinions,

More ease to feel relieved.

More open to receive messages of calm reassuring words and more able to just calm right down by letting go of pursuing stress or strain or anger or sadness.

Being aware of the tone of any thoughts that flow in.

Is there harshness?

And if so,

Is that something you want to believe or pursue?

Or would you prefer to drop into your body and more restful states of mind that nourish aliveness and vitality?

Focus on hooking from stress and trusting in something that creates new responses where old problems no longer exist.

You can steer yourself into new waters that can feel great if you allow yourself to trust.

Allow yourself to be free.

Allow yourself to just let it go.

And continuing to breathe.

Just flowing with the breath for a while.

And with the breath there's a backdrop.

Just noticing where there is a sense of holding on and just notice where or how that flows within the vast ocean of awareness.

You don't need to try and let go or try to be at peace.

It can all just arise as expressions of life,

Dreaming ideas and then flowing on in other directions.

As all your stress can just flow on by or be seen from the outside.

Perhaps you can feel much calmer within yourself because you can access a much more open and still place where both struggles and freer experiences happen alongside each other.

None of it needs to change in order for you to completely let go of whatever was stressing you out earlier.

And to release the root of your deepest fear or anxiety you need only meet it as it is with peaceful friendliness.

Ever so gently and lovingly.

What is it that you need to drop to move through life more easefully?

And can you meet that with less resistance so that it can move through you unhindered?

To finally be free from its tyranny just notice the soles of your feet.

Your lower back.

The inside of your wrists.

The places where you're holding stress and the open space which holds it.

And the breathing which threads through the emotional life.

Which can both be easeful and obstructed by stress at the same time somehow.

Like two currents flowing alongside each other.

Stress allowed to be as it is and peace containing all of life unquestionably.

A stillness in which life floats or lands and a vastness within whatever seems restricted.

To explore with bright awareness.

How the body and its beliefs about who you are and what you can do can loosen away into limitless possibilities.

Anything can happen if you're open to changing your perspective.

And meeting old storylines with an open heart.

Without trying to avoid the depths of subconscious patterns can surface to unravel themselves.

Like free falling through to a new space of trustworthiness.

Effortlessly unravelling and purposefully processing to release deeper fears to free yourself into a space of relief.

Releasing stress effortlessly.

Accessing a stillness of mind which can hold everything.

Which can create calm and move you beyond into a centred peace.

And so as you continue to rest for as long as you genuinely require.

I will draw this meditation to an end.

You can rest into the sensations in the body and stay centred with the breath.

You can meet life from expansiveness.

So that now as I leave you,

You can take with you that calm.

And I encourage you to go gently back into life with a little more ease.
