Meditation on releasing unwanted belief patterns.

So in this meditation you can sit or lie down depending on whether you feel you need to let go and relax deeply or maintain clear awareness.

So while it's beneficial to sink into calmer states of mind it's also necessary to stay clear and conscious and while it's good to make yourself comfortable as possible sometimes it helps to just allow any small irritations so that you can focus on the healing.

Okay so once you feel a little bit more ready to let go and sink into more mellow place I want you to first imagine yourself in a very soothing environment.

That may be somewhere you've been by the sea or in a forest or it could just be imaginary.

And once you have an idea about how that feels relaxing and stress-free just spend some time feeling into the areas of your body which feel most at ease.

So in this special place is it silent or are there any soothing sounds?

And what is it about this environment which invites joy and serenity?

Once you've really started to immerse yourself in carefree inner peace you can begin to notice how you're breathing.

Notice the in-breath and notice the out-breath.

Is the breath smooth or not?

Just notice because you don't need to change in any way just by being simple presence alongside the experience of calm or any unrest is enough to allow yourself to slip into more welcoming or freer states of mind.

Like taking a bath or washing away unwanted troubles.

Approaching life from a fresher more laid-back perspective.

Because any patterns of fear or mistrust that you may have towards life if you really want to release them so that you can flourish in a new clear or self-assured manner can begin to be allowed with patience or compassion.

Like a good friend might lend an ear or a loving mother might easily forgive.

Simply the tenderness of being in a magical place that somehow who knows how just heals old wounds.

And the breath breathes.

And the body relaxes or releases.

No need to fix anything.

Just moving into a space where old patterns of mind no longer feel like they're relevant.

No longer a part of who you are.

No longer needed.

No longer yours.

And as the mind continues to release appreciating the calm clear or more alive mind that witnesses.

A sense of openness,

Tranquility,

Calm.

Allowing,

Feeling allowed.

It's not always easy to forgive.

It's not always easy to let go of upset or resentful feelings.

But whatever it is that's held you back,

Which you can acknowledge and get a sense of,

Can in some way just be observed.

Not identified with.

Broken free from.

Released.

Because when we stop trying to force or change and instead simply let go of identifying with problematic thought patterns,

We provide the space for something richer,

More intuitive or simply in tune to being able to respond to life from a place of abundance.

Beaming confidently.

Like the sun shines or trees grow in a forest full of life.

Releasing joyfully.

Like a child playing innocently.

Throwing off anything unwanted.

Meeting life with curiosity,

Intrigue as you continue to feel at peace.

Perhaps even invigorated and open to new possibilities.

And just notice how it feels to fill yourself up with inner nourishment.

To step through old patterns and into spaciousness.

To allow yourself to be free enough to heal what felt stuck and breathe easily.

Allowing everything to be or express itself but at the same time not sticking with any thought or emotion.

Just let it float in spaciousness.

Move in its own unique way.

And now just as a way to conclude this meditation,

Begin to be aware of your whole body at ease.

And know that at any point in the day or in the future when you feel that you would benefit from letting go of any kind of difficult mind states.

Just giving yourself the permission to allow and step into that more spacious or calm sense of being that can release you from any troubles.

And invite that nourishment,

That inner lightness of being that can see you through.

Really setting the intention to remember how this feels and bring that experience into your everyday life when you can or need to.

And so the slowly inviting movement,

Perhaps opening your eyes or wriggling your toes.

Just as a way to move into your next activity gracefully.

And while there doesn't need to be a start and an end to meditation,

For now I'll leave you there so that you can continue with the rest of your day.

May all beings be free from stress or worry.
