Welcome,
This is your morning moment to begin again,
Lighter,
Clearer and more open.
Sit or lie down just as you are,
Allow your body to soften for a moment,
Softening before it moves into the rhythm of the day.
Gently close your eyes or simply lower your gaze.
Take a slow,
Easy breath in through your nose and a long,
Unhurried breath out through your mouth,
Again inhale deeply and exhale completely,
Letting the shoulders drop a little more,
Softening your jaw,
Relaxing the space between your eyes.
There's nothing to fix right now,
No pressure to be anything other than this.
If you notice thoughts of plans or worries,
Just imagine placing them on a little cloud above you and letting the wind gently carry them away.
Now let's gently scan through the body.
Start at the top of your head,
Feeling the forehead soften.
Let your eyes rest and relax,
Relax your cheeks,
Relax your lips.
Feel your neck and shoulders release,
As if you've just set down a heavy backpack.
Let that sensation of relief flow slowly down through your arms,
Down into the hands and fingertips.
Bring awareness to your chest,
Notice the rise and fall of each breath.
Feel the gentle rhythm of life moving through you.
Soften the muscles of the stomach,
Relax the hips.
Let your legs feel heavy and supported by the surface beneath you.
Now that the body is a little more open,
We'll focus on the breath.
Take a slow breath in,
Counting to four.
Hold it softly for a moment,
And then exhale,
Counting to six,
Emptying completely.
Again,
Inhale for four,
Hold,
Exhale for six.
Letting go a little more with each breath.
With each exhalation,
Feel the weight of yesterday falling away.
With every inhalation,
A fresh start.
Now invite in something lighter,
One word or feeling that you want to hold today.
Perhaps ease,
Kindness,
Clarity,
Energy.
Choose what you need for the day.
Imagine breathing that word in,
Filling your chest,
Spreading into every cell.
And as you exhale,
Let it settle deep inside you like a gentle warmth.
Picture yourself moving through your day with this feeling guiding you.
Notice how much lighter and calmer you feel.
Stay with this warmth for a few more breaths.
No rush,
Just allowing yourself to be.
Now very slowly,
Start to deepen your breathing.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Roll your shoulders a little.
Let your body know it's safe to wake.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Bringing this lightness,
This fresh start into your day ahead.
You're already enough.
Be gentle with yourself.
