Grounding meditation is a deeply soothing and centering practice, perfect for those seeking to find stability and calm in their hectic lives. This meditation technique involves visualizing roots extending from your body deep into the earth, anchoring you firmly and safely. As you sit or lie down comfortably, you are guided to focus on the sensation of weight and contact with the ground beneath you. This tactile awareness helps to bring your mind back to the present, away from the swirling thoughts and worries of everyday life. The process is gradual, allowing you to slowly but surely feel more connected and supported by the earth, fostering a sense of stability and security. As you breathe deeply, each inhalation draws in calmness and peace, while each exhalation releases tension and anxiety, enhancing the grounding effect.

It's time now to ground yourself.

Make sure you're sitting comfortably.

Put your feet flat on the floor.

Put your hands on your lap.

Separate your hands,

One on each thigh.

Close your eyes.

Take a couple of deep breaths in and out.

In and out.

Relax.

Feel yourself sinking down into the chair.

Now imagine a beam of beautiful,

Clear light coming down from above.

It's a thick column of light.

Beautiful.

Dazzling.

Energizing.

It enters through the top of your head and moves down through the heads into your body.

Down through the body.

Down through the legs.

And out through the feet.

Down through the floor.

Down through the earth.

Going through all the layers.

Down into the centre of the earth.

Allow healing,

Cleansing energy from the earth to quickly come back up from the centre.

Up through the layers.

Up through the earth.

Through the floor.

Into the soles of your feet.

Through the legs.

Into the body.

And out through the top of your head.

These columns of light continually running from above down to the core.

And up from the core.

Through your body.

Through the head and out.

Breathe slowly and deeply.

Spend a few moments now enjoying the feeling of these two wonderful,

Natural energies.

And every cell in your body filling with this wonderful,

Natural,

Bright light.

Breathe.

Relax.

Enjoy.

Energise.

Ground.

That's right.

Know that you can tap into these wonderful sources of energy at any time.

Bring your mind back to the moment.

Take a couple of gentle,

Deeper breaths.

Wiggle your toes.

Wiggle your fingers.

Start to gently move.

And open your eyes.

Relaxed.

Re-energised.

Grounded.

Focused.

Be gentle with yourself.

This meditation has consistently grounded me through life for the last 2 years since it found me. About 1 month after discovery I experienced the flow of energies in such a beautiful way that it helped me truly understand what people mean by “grounding” on a physical/energetic level.
