Taking some time to sit down,
Feet on the floor,
Hands on your lap,
Taking a nice gentle deep breath in and out and closing your eyes,
Allowing the eyes to gently rest and relax,
Feeling and noticing the connection your feet have with the floor,
Paying attention to the breath once again and as you breathe in and out with your eyes comfortably closed,
Take your awareness down once again into the feet,
Noticing the connection your feet have with the floor and holding on to that connection,
Bring awareness into your breath once again and as you breathe in and out,
Imagine that connection with the floor deepening,
Feel a solid connection to the floor,
A solid connection to the earth,
There are many times during the day that we spend all of our time in our head,
Forgetting about our body,
Connecting to our feet gives us a sense of grounding,
Brings us back into the moment,
Into what's happening in this moment,
Leaving the past and the future behind,
Connecting the feet to the floor,
The floor to the earth brings us into this moment,
Quietening the mind,
Bringing energy into the body and you can practice this technique at any point,
Day or night,
Whenever you need to bring yourself into the moment,
Feel the connection with the earth,
Bring it back with you as you now have a gentle stretch,
A slightly deeper breath in and out and opening the eyes,
Returning to the day.
