Out to social media,
Out to the news out to conversations,
Rehashing off into the future,
Back into the past.
More than you've been grounded in the present moment.
This practice is for you and you can use it anytime.
You want to unplug and get plugged back into the present moment.
You're welcome to keep your eyes open or closed or soften your gaze,
Whatever feels right to you.
Give your shoulders permission to soften.
See if you can get an image or a sense of all the ways that your energy has been going out there.
Outside.
To people,
To places,
To situations.
You might.
Sense this or envision this like chords.
Or ties.
Or draining,
Depleting energies,
Whatever comes to you is just right.
Notice where you feel it in your body or around your body.
And now I'd like you to imagine.
Or sense.
Feel these cords softening.
Beginning to dissolve.
Breathing a little deeper.
Little slower.
And sense or picture all of these draining cords.
Dissolving into the earth.
Off into the atmosphere.
Creating space around you and inside of you.
You can keep any cords or connections that feel good to you.
That feel fulfilling.
This is just about letting go of draining.
Energies,
Draining focuses.
And now see if you can imagine or sense yourself.
Flogging into.
The earth.
You might see cords or roots.
Or even a plug going down into the earth,
Grounding you,
Rooting you.
And feel the energy around you of the vast.
The sky and the air.
Blanketing you softly.
Coming home to this.
Present moment.
Releasing the stories and the ties.
To not now,
Coming home to right now.
Coming home to your body feeling the sensations in your body.
The energy in the palms of your hands.
Let your shoulders soften.
Maybe do a little body scan and see if any body part could use a little bit more softening.
Feel yourself right here,
Right now,
In this moment.
The only reality.
Right now.
Everything else is a story,
A picture,
An image.
Coming back home.
To the arms of the present moment.
And taking another nice,
Slow,
Deep,
Grounding breath.
