So make sure your body is as comfortable as possible and see if you can really give yourself permission to relax.
Turn your attention inward as you begin to focus on relaxing your body.
Allow your muscles to relax from the top of your head all the way down to the bottom of your feet.
Allow your body to feel the support of the surface underneath you.
As you breathe naturally at your own pace,
Imagine what relaxation feels like.
See if you can really give your body permission to relax.
And now I'd like you to picture yourself at the beach.
It could be a beach you've been to before or it could be a beach in your imagination.
Just go with whatever image comes to you.
Picture yourself there at the beach with your feet in the warm sand,
The gentle ocean breeze,
And the sound of the waves.
Now I'd like you to imagine yourself slowly walking towards the water.
Notice the natural rhythm of the waves.
Notice how they move in and out.
There's nothing you need to do to make that happen and there's nothing you can do to make them stop.
The waves simply come and go as everything does.
And now as you slowly approach the water,
Imagine yourself stopping right where the water meets the sand.
And notice the wet sand beneath your feet.
Look around and see how far the sand extends from where you stand.
And now I'd like you to prepare to write all of your worries in the sand.
Imagine yourself writing in the sand everything you want to let go of.
Every person you've been worried about,
Every situation that's been pulling you out of peace.
See yourself writing words or symbols to represent everything you want to surrender.
And take up as much space as you need.
And now I'd like you to imagine yourself slowly walking towards the water.
Until you are done.
Good.
And when you feel complete,
See yourself stepping back and imagine the powerful ocean waves washing all your words and symbols away.
Imagine the water washing all your worries away.
Imagine handing each and every situation over to the powerful sea.
It comes and it goes.
Bringing it all over.
See how it feels to let go of carrying all those burdens.
And when you're ready,
You can just gently bring yourself back to the surface underneath you.
Notice all the places your body is being supported right now.
Notice your body breathing.
And you can give yourself a little stretch and prepare to transition to the next part of your day.
Namaste.
