Welcome to the meditation to tap into your deeper knowing.
Just find a comfortable seat and on your inhale lengthen your spine and on the exhale just bring your shoulders back and down and just try to settle in and see if there's any way that you can make yourself a little bit more comfortable.
Your comfort is the most important thing right now.
And then as you have settled just bring your attention to your breath coming in and out.
In and out.
Feel the coolness of the breath as it comes in through your nose and the warmth of the breath as it leaves your nose or your mouth.
And just feel the slight movements of your body as you inhale and the slight movements of your body as you exhale.
And then just bringing your attention to your neck.
The area where we hold so much of our burden and responsibility.
And just move it around a little bit and notice if you have any sensation or tension in this area.
And if you feel anything just bring your attention to it.
We're just going to inhale.
And then exhale and release the tension from that area.
Now bring your attention to your shoulders.
And feeling on the next exhale your shoulders just lowering and becoming very heavy and falling towards the ground.
And on your next exhale just lengthen that space in between your ears and your shoulders.
Good and just bring your awareness now to your arms.
Feeling your arms heavy.
Feeling where they touch the ground or your body.
And then feeling each single finger and where it touches your leg or the floor.
And feeling the increased sensation within your body that a clear mind can bring.
And on your next exhale just take one more deep sigh and just relax your entire upper body.
And just take note of this feeling knowing that you can come back to it at any point that you'd like during the day.
And now we're just going to do a short breath exercise.
We're going to just take two inhales through the nose and one loud audible sigh out of the mouth.
So it sounds like this.
Here we go.
And one more.
And just noticing again how your body feels.
Just since we started doing our meditation.
And now we're going to take a little visualization,
A little walk through a forest.
So just imagine yourself walking in a beautiful pine forest.
Just imagine the tall pine trees around you.
It's a little bit darker because they block much of the light.
The air is fresh and clean and you can smell the aroma of the pine needles.
As you're walking you can hear the slight crunch of the dry pine below you.
In front of you you see a clearing in the trees and through the clearing is a gorgeous ray of light.
It illuminates part of your path.
You walk towards it.
You are drawn to it,
This light.
Now take your hands and put them in fists and just place them on your heart center,
Right on your sternum.
Push down a bit.
Feel the heaviness from your hands.
This heaviness represents the armor that we wear,
That we've put in place over the years to keep ourselves safe,
Protected from hurt,
Doing what makes us feel accepted.
But this same armor may keep us disconnected from our deeper calling and who it is that we truly are and what we really want.
You are ready,
You're feeling ready to unpeel the armor that you've had on for so long.
You're ready to feel more open,
More connected,
Freer.
You are ready to let go of these limiting beliefs that are keeping you small.
Now just push your fists a little bit more into your chest.
Inhale and then exhale.
And now on your next inhale,
Open your fists as if they were a door and feel the lightness of being.
Feel the openness.
Now just imagine those sun rays coming in through the pine trees and feel the sun gushing into your body,
Filling you with light,
Love,
Feelings of acceptance and peace.
Feel the light traveling all through your body and going to each cell and nourishing you from the inside out.
You are feeling so calm,
So loved,
So peaceful,
Like you haven't felt in a while and you're so grateful for this feeling.
And while we're in this space,
We're going to ask some questions.
You can either just listen or you can repeat them after me.
Who am I?
What is my purpose?
What do I want?
What am I grateful for?
We'll just take the couple next minutes in silence.
Just allowing these questions to go out into the universe and surrendering and allowing ourselves to receive.
And just keeping your attention on your breath coming in and out and in and out.
And whenever a thought comes into your mind,
You're simply going to notice it and then bring your attention back to your breath.
Always coming back to the breath.
And don't worry if you've been thinking the whole time and you just noticed.
Whenever you notice that your attention is no longer on the breath,
Just bring it back.
And whatever experience that you're having right now is exactly what you're supposed to be experiencing.
You're doing exactly what you're supposed to be doing.
And always coming right back to the breath.
And now just slowly deepen your breath.
And wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Maybe move your head from side to side.
Just allowing your body to come back into our space.
And feel free to either sit here for a few more moments or maybe you want to record something in a journal.
Either way,
I'm so glad that you joined us today.
Namaste.
