To make a powerful shift that ripples through your brain,
Heart,
And gut,
Read,
Understand,
And implement the four agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.
He outlines four lessons to integrate into life,
And this meditation serves as a method to make these agreements a habit.
These agreements are 1.
Be impeccable with your word,
2.
Do not take anything personally,
3.
Do not make assumptions,
And 4.
Always do your best.
By integrating the four agreements into your daily meditation practice,
They will start to become a natural extension of your thoughts,
Decisions,
And actions.
Start by choosing a comfortable position.
Turn your gaze fuzzy down the tip of your nose,
Or gently let your eyes close.
Watch your breath as it flows in and out.
Don't try to change it,
Just notice it.
Watch as your breath enters your nose,
Moves down your throat,
Into your chest,
And then your belly.
And watch as your belly contracts and the air exits the same path in reverse.
Become aware where you feel the breath the most,
And concentrate on that area.
Maybe it is the feeling of cold air when the breath first hits your nostrils,
Or maybe it is your belly expanding up and down.
Spend a few moments at this place and breathe slowly in and out,
Beginning to calm down your body and your mind.
As we spend so much time thinking with our heads,
For this meditation I invite you to place one hand on your heart,
Or your Anahata Chakra,
And one hand on your sacral chakra,
The Svadhisthana,
Located two or three fingers below your belly button.
Allow these areas to open up,
Absorb the words,
And your intentions.
If you notice yourself drifting from the meditation,
Don't judge yourself.
Be grateful of the awareness,
Return to your breath,
And return to my voice.
And let us begin.
May I be impeccable with my word.
May I be free from taking things personally.
May I be free from making assumptions.
May I always do my best.
You can take in these words or silently repeat them with me.
May I be impeccable with my word.
May I be free from taking things personally.
May I be free from making assumptions.
May I always do my best.
May I be impeccable with my word.
May I speak with integrity.
May I communicate only what I mean.
May I release the truth.
Again,
You can take in these words or silently repeat.
May I be impeccable with my word.
May I speak with integrity.
May I communicate only what I mean.
May I only release the truth.
May I be free from taking things personally.
May I understand what others say and do are not about me.
May I hear feedback and be immune to criticism.
May I find the gap to respond instead of react.
Take in the words or silently repeat.
May I be free from taking things personally.
May I understand what others say and do are not about me.
May I hear feedback and be immune to criticism.
May I find the gap to respond instead of react.
May I stop making assumptions.
May I avoid misunderstanding,
Sadness,
And drama.
May I communicate with clarity.
May I have the courage to ask questions.
Take in the words or silently repeat.
May I stop making assumptions.
May I avoid misunderstandings,
Sadness,
And drama.
May I communicate with clarity.
May I have the courage to ask questions.
May I always do my best.
May my consciousness be present in the moment.
May I understand my best will change moment to moment.
May I be a better version of myself than I was yesterday.
Take in the words or silently repeat.
May I always do my best.
May my consciousness be present in the moment.
May I understand my best will change moment to moment.
May I be a better version of myself than I was yesterday.
By integrating these four agreements into our lives,
We open up our consciousness and raise our vibrations.
Let's close this meditation by visualizing a smile over our head,
Our heart,
And our gut connecting these three thinking areas.
With your eyes still closed,
Please bring your hands together and place them at your Anahata chakra,
Your heart center.
The light in me honors the light in you.
