Hi,
This is Amelia Andaleon,
Yoga and meditation teacher.
Today's meditation introduces lavender oil.
Essential oils is one of my favorite tools to enhance my meditation and yoga practice.
Today,
If you have the lavender oil,
Grab it.
And if you don't have the lavender oil,
You can still enjoy the properties of the lavender oil as I described them during this practice today.
Grab your oil and place one drop on the inside of each wrist.
And create your seat for meditation or you might be lying down.
Lavender oil is a wonderful oil before sleep.
So this meditation today,
I will not be ending with a bell.
So those of you that would like to use this meditation to sleep and this oil to sleep,
I will end this meditation in silence.
So with the oil,
The lavender oil on your wrists,
Place the oil,
The wrists up to your nose and take five deep breaths.
Take a breath in.
With the open mouth,
Sigh and let something go.
Breathe in deeply.
Inhale.
Big exhale,
Let go.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Fill up with breath.
Let it go.
Receive the breath and release it.
If your wrists are still up,
Go ahead and rest them down.
Relax the arms,
Relax the hands and continue with a natural breath.
Essential oils,
They enter what's called the blood brain barrier.
So through the skin and entering in through the aromatherapy effect of breathing it through the nostrils up into the brain.
The properties of lavender oil,
Again,
Can improve your sleep,
Reduce your stress,
Allow you to lessen anxiety.
Lavender oil is known to reduce inflammation,
Which can alleviate allergies.
And with improved stress and improved sleep and the lessening of the anxiety,
All of that contributes to emotional well-being.
Grab your oil one more time and place one drop at the bottom of each big toe.
And then set your oil down.
We're done with the oil.
And again,
Reset your seat or laying back down for your meditation.
So at the bottom of the big toe is an acupressure point,
Which connects up to the brain.
It's another pathway to invite calm and peace.
Continue with your breath.
Relax the muscles,
Relax the skin on the entire body.
Let the bones be heavy.
Let the thoughts be easy.
I wish you peace.
I wish you calm.
Namaste.
