This heart-based guided meditation is designed to invite gratitude within you. Through exercises of mindfulness, focus, and deep breath we will grow the most blissful emotion: gratitude. We'll open the heart chakra to renew a sense of appreciation of the self and exterior environment.

Transcript

Sit in a comfortable position with your spine comfortably erect.

Breathe in deeply through your nose and feel the air going deep into your whole body.

As you slowly breathe out,

Feel every part of your body relaxing.

Another big breath in to your legs this time and on the exhale feel them slowly releasing any stress that we're holding.

Next inhale,

Bring your attention to your arms and let go of everything,

Every tensions.

Now breathe into your shoulders and let go of every tensions in there.

Next bring your attention to your torso and on the breath out let go of every tension in your torso.

Then bring your awareness to your belly and your hips and on the next exhale let go of every tension,

Everything that doesn't serve you from there.

Now bring your attention to your head,

Your lips,

Your face,

Every muscle and let go on your breath out.

Now bring awareness to your breath as you inhale and exhale.

With each breath feel gratitude rising in for that breath.

Your breath is precious and valuable.

You are alive and that in itself is a true wonder.

Feel that wonder and gratefulness as you breathe in and out.

Now bring awareness to your heartbeat,

Notice its quiet rhythm.

Feel gratefulness with each beat.

Your heart is a true miracle,

Pulsing with life every second of every day since before you were even born.

Bring all your attention to that sacred space and appreciate your heart and all it does for you.

Now give attention to your whole body.

Your body truly is a wondrous thing.

It's been allowing you to explore this world,

Enjoy every bit of it.

Feel the shape of your body with all its contours.

Your fingers,

Toes,

Eyes,

Ears,

Skin.

Your body is truly a wonder of nature.

Lens breathing,

Heart beating,

A body that can move and feel and do incredible things.

A mind that is aware.

Let your very existence cause gratitude to swell within you.

Like a bright white light,

Feel it expand throughout your body.

Grateful for breath,

Grateful for heartbeats,

Love for your wonderful body.

When you feel yourself drifting for gratitude,

Come back.

Back to the wonder of breath,

The marvel of your heart,

The magic of your body.

You are here,

Present at this moment,

And that is a wonderful thing.

Spend a few moments in this energy,

Just feeling this gratitude.

Enjoy its positivity and its possibilities.
