Good morning and welcome to this morning's practice.

My name is Emel Jeanne and I will be your guide this morning.

One of the best techniques to help bring mindfulness to everyday living is to start your day with it.

It is really important and will set the tone for the rest of the day.

Many of us have a rush morning routine and we rarely pause until way later in the day if at all.

So use this exercise every morning when you wake up or after you washed off.

But make sure to create this routine for yourself as it will bolster your practice in the coming hours.

As you wake up,

Take a moment to pause before you get up.

Sit comfortably or lay down if you're still in bed and tune into your body.

How does your right foot feel?

How does your left foot feel?

How does your hip feel?

How does your elbow feel?

Your neck?

Your right hand?

Your left shoulder?

How does your left foot feel?

Your neck?

Your right hand?

Your left shoulder?

Your left knee?

Your right knee?

Your stomach?

Your forehead?

Take a second to scan from the top of your head slowly through your entire body all the way down to your toes and feel every inch of your body.

Feel your body resting.

Now start to move it gently and notice how it feels when it begins to move and how it feels when you start to stretch.

Now bring your hands on your heart center and bring your awareness to your breath.

Take a few deep breaths in through the nose and exhale through the nose.

Now recognize that you woke up and you're breathing this morning.

Feel the air going into your lungs and feel the air coming out.

As you keep your awareness and focus on your breath,

I would like you to visualize you breathing in love.

Love for today.

Love for being alive to witness it.

Love for all the people you will interact with and exhale gratitude.

Breathe in and exhale.

Now breathe in that love for your body to allow you to experience everything and watch that gratitude come out of you and touch everything around you.

Now visualize also breathing in gratitude for opportunities lying ahead of your day.

The people you might meet,

All the projects you might start or finish or just really advance on.

All the new things you will get to witness and experience.

All the wonderful conversation that will lift you up and help you to move and authors up.

Tell yourself out loud or not,

Thank you.

Thank you to the universe and thank you to my heart for being here this morning.

Just for today,

I will not be angry.

Just for today,

I will not worry.

Just for today,

Just for today I will not worry.

Just for today I will be grateful.

Just for today I will do my work honestly.

Just for today I will be kind to every living thing.

Just for today I will be kind to every living thing.

May I walk in the best way that I can.

May my words uplift this world and make it a better world.

May this day be filled with kindness.

Take a deep breath in and exhale through the mouth.

Another deep breath in and exhale slowly.

Recognize that you are now awake,

Breathing with a wonderful day ahead of you,

Filled with opportunities,

Love and kindness.

When you're ready you can open your eyes and as you get up and you begin your day try to retain some of this awareness.

Remember that routines make it easy to fall into autopilot until such a morning practice becomes your new normal.

As the day goes on notice when you lose your presence and try to come back to mindfulness.

I wish you a wonderful rest of your day.
