So the first thing I like to do is just sit comfortably.
You can close your eyes if you want.
You can relax your shoulders and maybe unclench your jaw if you're like biting down hard.
And just know for these next couple minutes,
There's nothing you need to do but just listen to these words,
Follow my voice.
First thing we're going to do is box breathing.
This is where you breathe in for four,
You hold it for four.
You breathe out for four.
And you hold again at the bottom for four.
So let's try it a few times.
Breathe in through your nose,
1,
2,
3,
4.
Now hold your breath,
2,
3,
4.
And exhale for 4,
3,
4.
To.
One.
Hold it at the bottom.
Now inhale again for four before.
Hold it at the top.
For.
Now let go,
Breathe out.
Hold it at the bottom again.
Now breathe in for four.
Hold it at the top.
You Exhale for four.
Great job!
That is called box breathing,
And it helps just tell your body that you're safe,
You can relax,
And allows you to be in this moment.
And that's kind of a secret I like to tell people.
It's the more that you can be right here.
Right now.
In this moment,
The better.
Maybe look down at your hands and feel your feet on the ground.
Feel your legs.
Feel your arms And take another deep breath in and feel the air going in your lungs just.
.
.
A big breath.
And as you exhale.
Just notice.
The aliveness in your body and the ability to just dance.
So as we become in the present moment and we look around and we see and feel gratitude for everything that we have in our lives,
Thankful for our home,
Our room,
Our clothing,
Our families,
Opportunities,
All the really cool things in our life,
The more that we can be grateful,
The more that we will have to be grateful for.
Your day,
Just give thanks for all of the little treasures that you have in your life.
And your world can become a little bit brighter today just by noticing.
Before we leave,
We'll do a few affirmations.
Repeat after me after I say the line,
Then you say the line.
And if you don't feel like saying it out loud.
Just,
Just see it in your mind.
Okay,
Here we go.
I take one breath at a time.
I don't have to have everything figured out today.
I go at my own pace.
It's okay to take breaks new experiences can be exciting.
Maybe I will explore today.
That I don't have to force anything.
I'm exactly where I need to be.
I'm allowed to take my time.
I can choose one small thing to do today.
Even if it's just a walk around the block.
Today,
I will smile.
Today.
I will give thanks.
Today is going to be a good day.
Great job!
So just take one more deep breath in.
And if your eyes were closed,
You can open them.
Exhale that big breath.
And just know you are doing such an amazing job.
Life is exciting.
Keep up the great work.
Talk to you later.
